We never miss the opportunity to hit Angelina's when we come to town. The staff is knowledgeable and can walk you through each dish. We're in the Ft Meyers area and I was looking for a nice place to have dinner on our Anniversary. After searching on Yelp for a while I came across Angelinas Ristorante and decided to try it. I had mentioned it was an Anniversary, and what a surprise, we were greeted with an Happy Anniversary Card from the restaurant and seated at a wonderful table location. We each had a different risotto and both dinners were wonderful. In addition the restaurant brought us a special desert. See photo. Have been referred here by a number of friends. Finally went on a date night with my wife. We arrived, and the restaurant was mostly empty, and we had a reservation specifying we were doing a date night and yet the hostess sit us right on top of another couple. She asked if this was ok, I said NO. We were moved to a large booth which also made for awkward seating/conversation. So not the best start. The atmosphere is a bit stuffy and old fashioned. Not a "hip" vibe at all. But it is quiet. And many (especially snowbirds) will like the vibe. Once seated, our waitress was very helpful and friendly. She helped with recommendations. And the food was excellent. My wife got a caprese salad that she really enjoyed (local grown tomatoes; house made mozzarella). I had a very comforting parmigiana Romano soup. We were having a tough time deciding on entree (went in wanting pasta) ... our waitress recommended getting two each as "small plates" so we could sample several. All were excellent (ricotta pillows very rich, but melt in your mouth, ragu very flavorful, got a special and another red sauce styled sauce ... all house made pasta). Some of the better Italian we've had in SWFL. Way more than we could eat (one small plate plus a soup would have been plenty each). We weren't going to get desert as we took half our entrees home ... but got sold on the zapolini and very glad we did. Our favorite part of the meal. Oh ... and ridiculous large selection of wine if that's your thing (we like wine, but not wine snobs ... but a wine snob would be in heaven). I'd give this place a 4.5 start if allowed. The only reason not a 5 is it does feel a bit old fashioned, and not our cup of tea, but many will enjoy. More...

Super elegant location for a Special occasions. if you substitute sides they want to charge extra come on!! Price is ok for the dishes and the service is amazing it even feels that the servers are being trained for the answers. All I can say is WOW. Spur of moment dinner plans conveniently placed me in Angelinas Ristorante and I'm blown away by everything about this place! Immediately had the door being opened for us by the valet as soon as he caught a glimpse of us approaching, not bad for an entrance.The interior was stunning; low-lit rooms, spiral staircase with live pianist and unique Italian decor. Our waiter was great, he knew everything about the menu and made specific recommendations based on our tastes. I got the Sea Scallops and Pork Belly and paired it with their Riesling (highly recommend this combo).Absolutely delicious! The flavor profiles were unmatched and I personally patted myself on the back for picking my entree.At the end, we were brought palate cleansers and it was quite the finish to the dinner.If you want to go from good to great, Angelina's is for you. In a word, exceptional. Our server was brilliant; attentive but not obtrusive at all. We were seated in the red room. The decor throughout the restaurant is stunning, highlighted by the glass enclosed wine cellar in the center (I was given a tour by the sommelier- amazing! !). The wine list is staggering. Beef tartare and ravioli antipasti were exceptional, as were my wife's pasta and my veal chop. Perfectly executed. The zeppole were fantastic for dessert, as was the port selection. Classy, but approachable. The chocolate ganache cake is SO GOOD (get it with extra fruit though because it is rich). To me, it is the epitome of date dining. It's cozy and lush, and the service is impeccable. The serving sizes are generous and they really will try to work with your appetite preferences. I've been here 2 times and it's definitely become a special date night place for us when we stop by naples. I have been hearing about Angelinas since I moved here last summer. Finally convinced my husband to at least try the happy hour. It was great! The menu is from the regular bar menu and drink, just half price from 4-6. We tried a few different appetizers and the drinks were delish! The place is beautifully decorated! Very romantic! The three of us dined here last night for the first time. Complimentary valet service. (Self parking optional) At anytime entering the restaurant, from the valet to the staff inside, everyone was the most pleasant and engaging. We were seated on the Red Room (our choice of the few dining rooms) our server KATIE appeared and was soo knowledgeable and helpful and descriptive of so many of the entrees. That was great.I asked for her faves on the menu and there were many. She was very professional, very personable and an overall pleasure to have been waited by her. She made our visit memorable. THANKS AGAIN KATIE! We liked everything we had. But the Butternut Squash Ravioli WAS the freshest and best we've had. It's their signature dish. My only gripe was the Caprese Salad I wish was a creamy Burrata instead of the housemade mozzarella, although good, needed the Burrata to mix with the tomatoes and oil. I hadn't found this to be expensive as some have claimed, but I can tell you, given the quality of food and service, was worth every penny. Looking forward to returning in another room and another choice of entrees. I never understand some of the negative comments be it legit at the moment or not. We came in at 8:15 (they closed at 10) with all types of special request as it was a surprise and somebody's birthday. First off the hostess Monique was great and helped us with our accommodations. We had two kids with us and our server Eric helped us find menu items for them, show them to the bathroom and even took pictures. This is an amazing restaurant. It was our second trip to Bonita and our second to Angelinas! Again it was a 5 star experience. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the atmosphere divine. Our server (sorry didn't get his name but he was from South Africa) was very knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu. Angelinas works hard on creating a dining experience and they didn't disappoint. My husband and I came here for our one night out without the kids while on vacation (thanks to the grandparents) for my husband's birthday. I ordered the fish soup - which may not sound exciting but oh my goodness it was beyond delish. We also tried the pumpkin ravioli with truffles. (They'll push a truffle menu if they have them - we were underwhelmed by them.) The pumpkin ravioli was excellent however.My husband got the black grouper and ate it right up. And as a touch to the end of the evening, they brought out some small desserts with "happy birthday" written in chocolate for him. Really a delightful dining evening out. :) More...
