Amanda Pierce is the true definition of a professional. I had the honor of working with her on a wedding at Whitby Castle in Rye, NY where I coordinated and she did the makeup. She arrived early, did an amazing job on the bride and bridesmaids makeup and then offered to help me before she left! Amanda did my makeup for my sister's wedding last September. I was hesitant to let her have free reign on such a big day, but I had seen other her other work so I trusted her. We worked back and forth to figure out what I was comfortable with. She did an amazing job listening to my concerns and teaching me what would be best. Not only is Amanda extremely talented at what she does, she is extremely professional and passionate as well. I have had my makeup done several times, and I am never disappointed. Her work is flawless and she is an absolute doll to work with; so sweet and funny! I cannot begin to describe what a wonderfully professional and memorable experience I had with Amanda Pierce MakeUp. Amanda did both my makeup and my mom's for my wedding day in November 2014. Both of us are very simple makeup wearers and Amanda made us feel so comfortable in both our makeup trials and on the "Big Day." My mom had just finished chemo and had very thin eyebrows and a small amount of eyelashes which made her nervous about how her makeup would look and Amanda could not have been kinder in working with my mom and making her eyebrows look full and natural with just makeup and applying gentle fake eyelashes with some mascara. We both looked so natural and just sun-kissed after Amanda applied the airbrush makeup (which I would definitely recommend). After the makeup was applied, we didn’t have that heavy feeling of wearing something you are not accustomed to—our skin could still breathe and we felt fresh and light. Our eye makeup was dramatic enough to stand out in photos, but soft enough for us to look just beautiful and classic in person. The makeup stayed on all day and all evening with just touchups needed for lip gloss throughout the day! My husband loved how soft a look my makeup was! Amanda came to my mom's house for both the trial and the day of the wedding and did not leave until she knew were completely happy and feeling fabulous! Amanda was not only a makeup artist that day, but she was a friend during the morning of wedding prep with all of my bridesmaids, my mom, and me. We could not have asked for a more professional, caring, gentle, and fun makeup artist for my wedding day and I cannot wait to call Amanda in the future when other events arise. Amanda is by far the best makeup artists I've never encountered. From Long Island, NYC and up in Saratoga I have been to many places and I would say Amanda is the best by far. I hired Amanda for my wedding and could not be happier. At our trial, she really listened to me and it was clear that she genuinely wanted me to be comfortable and she was not a "one look fits all" makeup artist. She is so friendly yet perfectly professional and the day of my wedding she added an amazing calm energy to the chaos. Amanda did make for my bridal party and I back in September and I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist to be part of our special day! I'm not someone who wears a lot of makeup so I was concerned that although I know she was going to do a fantastic job, I was afraid I wasn't going to still look like "me." My husband admitted to me that he was afraid of the same thing but Amanda did an absolutely perfect and flawless job on all of us. She was very receptive to what I was looking for and during my trial, we tried several different looks before finding the perfect one for me. Amanda did my makeup for my wedding in May 2018. I was obsessed with looking extra super dewey and glowy. We did a trial in her home and she really seemed to get the look I was going for - which was glowy and dewy but not insta-glam with contouring. Our trial was really relaxed and we talked through the look and the different options - she was up for trying different things during the trial so that there were no surprises the day of. She is a lovely, sweet person who is nice to have around on your big day! The day of Amanda was prepared, punctual, organized and thorough. She did an absolutely stunning job with my makeup - i can't say enough nice things and my makeup stayed all day - I got married at 1 pm and then my reception was not until 6 pm and the makeup really lasted !!
