Almost two years ago I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s wedding and I told my boyfriend if we ever get married, AMP WILL be our photographer because Amanda is probably one of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met and she did an amazing job today! Fast forward to the following summer, we get engaged and after we made all our calls and I finally downloaded every app I could to assist us in planning a wedding, I instantly searched for Amanda on WeddingWire and asked her in a very long message if she would meet with us. I was ecstatic when we booked our appointment but I was absolutely blown away when we got to her office and she treated us like we were the most important people she had ever met and it stayed that way through our entire engagement and wedding!
On our honeymoon, my husband said, “I already know who will be doing maternity and family photos when that day comes.”

Aside from the way she makes you feel, her work is absolutely phenomenal! One of my favorite things that she does is has an iPad or screen scrolling with some of your wedding photos AT YOUR RECEPTION!!! How many times can you say you saw some of your getting ready and ceremony photos as you enter your reception?! Knowing from a previous wedding that she did this, we kept it a secret from our family and they were all blown away! I think it was the main topic of the entire reception lol.

Amanda May is the most patient, upbeat, positive, lively person I have ever met. Y'all, this lady is magic!! Not only is Amanda extremely pleasant to work with, but her pictures are nothing less than stunning! Right from the beginning she made us feel comfortable and relaxed. She went above and beyond at our wedding, including interacting with horses because she knew thats what we wanted, even though she was allergic!

Ok if you are a lazy review reader, like me, here is the short version. Amanda is an AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER! Her style is dreamy, beautiful, and clean She is such a personable sweet soul She offers a customizable wedding package. She is not pushy or judgy no matter the amount you spend when you book her. You will not regret the money that you spend on her!!! Alrighty, so now for the long version. First of all I really can not say enough good things about this lady she is kind, patient, caring, intentional, comforting, funny, joyful, and so very sweet! Her ability to capture the uniqueness of her couples, families, individual clients, etc. is incredible! If you want not only someone who will take beautiful pictures of your day but will also be a friend that you can be vulnerable and candid with then Amanda May is who you should book. The Tuesday before my husband and I got married, on Saturday, my family learned that my fathers cancer, that had been in remission for 9 years, had in fact metastasized to his Liver. It was devastating... I called Amanda that evening to tell her what was going on. As I cried on the phone with her and asked her to pray for my family and me she stopped me and asked if she could go ahead and pray for me right then and there! As for the rehearsal dinner my father was not able to attend in order to save his strength for my wedding day. Amanda made sure to get tons of pictures of my dad and me before the wedding ceremony. When we were taking family portraits after the ceremony she made sure to adjust the shot list so that all the pictures we needed with my father in them were taken first so that he could get back home and rest. During the wedding these small and seemingly mundane tweaks and changes didn’t really affect me much. A week after our wedding on September 9th my father went home to be with Jesus. Then came the album approving process and getting all the edited and finalized images. As I was going through my wedding album to approve the lay out I was clicking through the computerized version of what would be my wedding album and then I was just overwhelmed. Amanda had told me in the email that she had devoted an entire spread to the pictures of my dad and me before the ceremony. These pictures will always be priceless to me! Over and over again Amanda just loved on me in the little things through such a difficult time. I hope and pray that your story is not intertwined with loss like mine was. I share my story so that if you find yourself in a difficult situation, that isn’t the perfect fairytale ending, you know that if you decide on Amanda May Photography you get more that an awesome photographer. Amanda was absolutely amazing! She knocked it out of the park. I was hesitant to do an engagement session because I had no idea what I would do with the photos, but two things. ...first was that it for sure made my (now) husband more comfortable on our wedding day and two it let us really get to know Amanda and her style! We loved them all. Onto our wedding day - Amanda did an awesome job coordinating all the timing. We were on a tight schedule and she made sure to lay it out, communicate with our coordinator, she (literally) ran around taking photos all day. When I shared them with friends they actually asked if she was a ninja and couldn't understand how she was able to capture so many angles, events, details etc. We looked to her for guidance, recommendations, and took her professional advice for what it is - PROFESSIONAL!
