Jay was a God send! This mission was to save a veteran by helping him to train him and his dog and not be forced to give her up. A Christmas miracle if you will! With Jay's instruction and vast knowledge incredible progress was made quickly. Now the dog and veteran will have a better established relationship and this brings peace to both. I am the neighbor who contacted this company on behalf of the owner and dog. I couldn't be more grateful, especially at how quick you were able to get help here. I would Only recommend AlphA and Omega to people!! These are experts at what they do. Bless you!! More...

Here is a Letter I wrote Jay!Good Morning Jay, I can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate your training method. As you know Tank and Chilli was set in their ways. Being 3years old and 5years. I personally been working very hard to implement EVERYTHING you have taught me. And today was a real test! I am renovating my master bath. And have workmen in and out. When the men 1st came into the house. I told them to give me a second , and followed procedure1- Tank Spot - Tank went to spot ant laid down 2- Chilli Spot - Chilli proceeded to climb into her pink basket.3- Hugo spotHugo was allready on his way because he seen the other two, and knew he was next. All 3 dogs followed direction with ease. I then gave the command of stay implementing the hand signal. ALL 3 DOGS WAS PATIENTLY waiting to see who was on the other side of the door. But not 1 of them moved. The workmen came in the big baby was wining, just a bit (Tank thinks every human is here to see him) but I said enough and he immediately stopped.I gave the hand signal for down and he followed command. I do not know if you can print this text and use it as a tool for other clients. But I am writing this as a sworn statement. That this method works. I am truly greatful. Few weeks back I honestly did not think I was going to be able to keep the puppy. Today I am confident. We the Miller/Puig Roldan family are Proof that Jay , YOU ARE THE MAN! Thank you so much. And I am looking forward to get Hugo where I would like him! Every time the door open Hugo is alert And their is alot of banging and construction going on. They have not moved so far. NOT EVEN A PEEP from Chilli, for a Chuchaua, very unusual. With great respect we become great leaders. Respectfully Yours,Lori More...

I can’t say enough good things about this company. The training is not based on sessions, but on the results you are seeing. You are evaluated, set goals, and work towards those goals instead of clocking specific hours and numbers of training sessions. Before coming to Alpha, my 1 year old pitbull could not be in public without barking at other dogs, he pulled horribly on the leash and did whatever he wanted. I immediately saw results in my first session with Jay and now, less than six weeks later, can walk him without a leash. Put the work in and you will see the results. I have a boxer and spaniel mix puppy so my dog has very high energy and I had very little experience with a high energy dog I even learned a lot on how to control my puppy and for him to behave how I want him too. After the 1st session we noticed a change in his behavior he was much calmer and we were taught the right commands and hand signals and how to manage him on and off leash wash was a learning experience for me as well. Alpha and Omega is a top-notch dog training program. It is very easy to rate them with five stars. When my husband and I brought Lucky, our nine-month-old, 67-pound Golden Retriever puppy in for training, he was very active, could not be controlled on leash, mouthing and chewing on everything. Lucky was Mr. Social with a goal of getting any person within range to get their hands on his body. He would pull, jump, mouth, etc. He is a strong puppy and did what he wanted to do. Overbearing would describe him.Fortunately for us, during the summer we met a couple in a nearby Metro Park with a dog about the same age and size as Lucky. But the difference in obedience was night and day. Their dog was off leash and instantly obeying commands. Being very impressed with their dog’s behavior, we asked where they had their dog trained. It was at Alpha and Omega. Our experience with Alpha and Omega was and is outstanding! In five minutes during our evaluation, Jay, using a leash, had Lucky under complete control. Lucky was laying down with Jay having no hands on the leash. It looked like magic!Throughout the years with our other dogs we have been through many professional trainers but never encountered one with Alpha and Omega’s skill standards. Jay, Karlon, and Patrice worked with us. Their quick, gentle but assertive ways of training of our dog was amazing. Training us was more time consuming then our dog.Alpha and Omega is a win-win outcome. After a few weeks of training, our beautiful puppy is walking off leash amazingly by our side. He knows sit, down, stay, spot and most importantly the “no” command and he responds quickly. Lucky is a happy dog with very happy owners. “Life is Good” has been made possible through the guidance and knowledge of Jay and Karlon. They patiently worked with Lucky and us until we felt comfortable handling our dog. Through his training, Lucky has learned to run free and return to us on command. This is pure joy to watch. Alpha and Omega training has given Lucky the gift of a dog being a dog…pure freedom.Special thanks to our trainer Karlon, he is great! His kindness, determination and understanding made our lives with Lucky change forever. We wish Karlon, Jay and Patrice continued success.Lucky, Bruce and Marilyn StottP.S. Man where do I start... I took my 1 year old pitbull German Shepherd mix into alpha and omega for a evaluation about a month ago. He had bit another dog and a human he would constantly pull on his leash bark all night and try to destroy any other animal insight so I was on my last resort when I found Jay and alpha omega if I didn’t I would’ve put my dog polo down. During my evaluation Jay told me any dog can be rehabilitated and trained but training the human is the hard part that stuck with me. I just thought if I did a board and train my dog would be fixed and I wouldn’t have to do anything.... i Did the 3 Day board and train and my dog was completely trained but then came my training. Not knowing what I was getting into the first day of my training I seen how serious it was because polo was trained like no other but I had not a clue what I was doing and I had to find a new way to communicate with polo and make him trust me to be his leader through leash handling and praise. I paid attention to every detail Jay and Anthony told me it’s one thing to listen and play like you know but it was completely another thing for me to put that work in day in and day out when I was tired and didn’t want to I found myself having fun training with the relationship I built with J being part of the pack. Now not only can I walk my dog on leash with no problem I can walk him off leash something I never ever imagined he knows heel sit down stay spot and come on command while I love where I’m at I can’t wait to see how far I can go with polo. So if you’re debating if you wanna come here or not you should u won’t regret it not one bit.So to Jay, Anthony and the whole alpha and omega training staff I thank you because you were extremely patient and you guys saved my crazy dog from me putting him down and you also taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined I would’ve learned in the last 4-5 weeks about my dog and how to handle him... Q&As

AlphA and Omega Dog Training does not mass produce dog trainers, we are not a franchise. Neither do we operate an assembly line, come one – come all philosophy. We train one client/dog at a time. We take pride in developing personal relationships with our clients.

AlphA and Omega began more than 25 years ago when Jay rescued his 1st dog. Like many other first time dog owners he had no idea how to get his dog to stop being a menace in his life. After an exhaustive search for a solution, he finally found a trainer that had an effective dog training program. From that point forward, he began to actively study dog behavior and psychology.
Jay apprenticed for several years under some highest respected veterans of the dog training world. In 2007 he decided it was time to form his own pack, and bring everything he had learned from the various methodologies, together, under one training system. At the very top of his priority list was his firm and unwavering belief in the humane treatment of all animals, regardless of species. And with this philosophy as the foundation of his dog training system, he started AlphA and Omega

We believe that everyone should have a dog that follows the most basic of functioning commands.

Heel – Loose leash walking
Sit – At your side while distractions are present
Down – Lay down and stay down when told
Stay – In whatever the position when the last command was given
If you can get your dog to do these basic commands, then you have a manageable pet that you can enjoy taking out on walks, to the park, or simply having company over to your home.

For this reason, we offer several individualized dog training obedience programs. If you simply want your dog to be manageable, as stated above, we have the Handling Management. If you want your dog to perform like a Rockstar, we have the Masters Obedience Program.
