Allan Jeffries Framing

These guys did an AMAZING job. I brought in a crinkled, folded up newspaper that I had been hanging on to for months in a moving box that I wanted to get framed. I came in and the guy who helped me (I think his name was Jason?) was stellar. He walked me through how they could iron out the creases and folds and gave me his recommendation on matting the newspaper in terms of the color (who knew there were so many shades of white) and the thickness. He really took his time and didn't rush me at all; I really felt like he wanted to make sure I was happy with the proposed final look. It took them about 2 weeks to frame and it looks incredible, hard to believe it was ever a newspaper. Best of all, with the yelp deal, the entire thing cost me around $100. I just had a great first experience here (3rd St location). I needed to have a piece of my art framed and ready to ship tomorrow. I've been really tired of dealing with Michaels and all the damaged frames and poor craftsmanship, so I decided to look elsewhere. I am so glad I found Allan Jeffries. Amazing service. I had a broken piece of glass from a wall sconce. I wanted to replace it with plexiglass. I brought them the glass from another sconce and they cut the plexiglass on the spot. I asked for the bill and the man handed it to me and says- "no charge"! I will be using them for all my framing. More...

I Had the best experience at this framing place and Highly recommended going here. First of all parking was easy as they have parking behind the store. It had a lot of people in the store but enough people to help us all rather than waiting forever. Jason helped me and he was fast knowledgeable, nice, customer service forward and easy on the eyes.They did my project right on the spot and wrapped it up real nice. About half the paintings and photographs I own have been framed by Allan Jeffries, at this 3rd Street location. Yes, I used a designer, but she worked with Allan himself on some of these projects and they came out incredible. Allan has amazing artisans working for him - there isn't one thing they can't do. We are talking intricate shadow boxes with precious items attached to fabric, inventive specialty frames you can't find anywhere else. Check out the Spinal Tap photograph from the CBGB series - Allan put magnets inside the frame so that I could stick it on my fridge in the man cave - just WOW. Highly recommended! More...

Wow! This place was such a joy to visit. From the moment we walked in we were treated with patience. We came in to frame a simple print and were shown different options ranging in pricing, allowing us to make the best choice for this print. I didn't actually buy anything, but the review is for their customer service.  I went there looking for a specific frame that they didn't have in stock.  Arturo called around to the other shops, found one that had the exact frame and size I wanted, and had it delivered to the other Allan Jeffries closer to my house within a couple days.  I didn't spend a dime at this location but they went out of their way to help me. I was given a Rauchenberg lithograph from my father that passed away 20 years ago. It had been stored all the time, with one debacle of attempting to have it framed earlier. When I brought my piece of art in I was given one on one attention and invaluable insight as to what might look best.This framing shop did amazing work! I am a college student (yes, I am not normal college age) and money is an issue. The gentleman that helped me, I can't remember his name (brown hair with beard, with a calm and nice disposition) reached out to the owner and explained my situation. I guess the owner collects Rauchenberg as well, and was generous in giving me a deal. This was on top of the yelp deal too! I will continue to go here for any and all framing needs! I've worked with Alex and Sean here who are both always so friendly and accommodating. There are a few parking spots behind the building which is very convenient, and I've never had to wait too long to have one of the staff help me out. I took a frame here after Framebridge, the hip online framing store ruined my custom piece. Yes, I know, I shouldn't have trusted an online framing company but I had heard good reviews and had a coupon. Well here is your warning - DO NOT USE.So, I took the remains of what Framebridge gave me to Allan Jeffries for them to salvage it. I love Allan Jeffries.  I have gotten 2 pictures framed. They went 1000% to make sure that I was satisfied with the frames.  The staff there are very nice and helpful.  They have a lot of selections.  It always feel like I am not rushed or pressured to pick out a frame.  I have left my Ketubah there for the last 4-5 months and they never pressured me to take it home, when I came in this weekend they gave me the best service to make sure that the frame is exactly what I wanted. Couldn't find a frame in my price range for a big poster I brought in, but the gentleman helping me was very kind. I didn't purchase anything from the store but he still gave me a large cardboard tube to safely carry my poster in. Very nice people.

I haven't had the opportunity to be a paying customer yet, but I had such a nice experience with Allan Jeffries Framing that it was worthy of a review. I called looking for picture-hanging hardware and was told they don't have it for sale, but would be happy to help me with what I needed.  I had had a family emergency earlier in the week and couldn't prepare for an appointment to have approximately 17 prints rehung after a remodel, so I gratefully accepted the offer.  The man who helped me (I wish I'd gotten his name) was pleasant and kind and saved the day.  I got back to the office just in time to have the work done.  I think my experience, along with the many reviews that attest to Allan Jeffries' fine workmanship, prove that they truly deserve the business and I plan to become a paying customer one day. I got my first piece of artwork framed at Allan Jeffries some 25 years ago. I have literally not gone anywhere since, and I must have framed at least 50-60 pieces in the interim. Allan and I worked often together -- although his staff is great too -- pulling frames and matting from every corner of the store until we found "the look" that we both wanted. The collaborative effort is what makes this shop stand out. With the closing of some big retailers, the turn-around is hardly "immediate," but I'll take quality over speed anytime. Such a fun place! Folks bring in the quirkiest artwork and the staff brings total attention and good eyes to every single piece while sussing out what the individual is going for as well as presenting the ideal. They are always quite delicate in sussing out your price range & hearts desires but this time they shocked me by walking me through the pre-made frames which I'd never looked at because my print would fit. They actually recommended something cheaper than what I had in mind(not to mention faster)! And when I found a nonstandard looking standard sized frame they agreed it worked better than the custom ones for that print even tho I was quite hesitant & any other place would have upsold me. This place is amazing. I spent the day going to 4 frame stores before this place, who barely gave me the time of day. Im a 23 year old college student, who probably looks like I wont spend that much money on frames or something so I was barely greeted at other frame stores but this place turned my entire day around. I clearly knew nothing about frames, and nobody made me feel stupid or wanted to take advantage of me. They gave me great prices, and the owner gave me a super kind discount as he could tell I couldn't spend the amount they were asking for for all of the pictures I wanted framed. He was soooo genuine and kind and just really wanted to make me happy. I haven't felt that in a place of business in so long. The young girl who helped me (I forget your name im sorry!) was late for her lunch break, probably starving but was over the top patient with me and genuinely intrigued by trying to fit my pictures perfectly. We had friendly conversation and she clearly just wanted to make me a happy customer as well.
