Align fitness is absolutely amazing. The trainers are all super personable and really take your fitness and well-being as their priority. I have been working with Joe for about 3 months now and I wish I would have known about him sooner. I have worked with other trainers in the past and they don't even compare. Joe takes his time to evaluate you before you even pick up a weight to see where there may be areas that need to be strengthened that you might not even know about (like balance, weakness in your core, etc). He takes all this info into consideration when he plans out your workout. He takes his time to explain each exercise and how it is supposed to be done the right way. He pushes you to do your best, BUT more importantly what he knows you're capable of. I came to Align Fitness a bit wary of "trainers". In the past I've had a number of injuries to my lower back, shoulder, and knee which were ignored by trainers at some of the top gyms, which, or course, led to more injury. Not the case at Align Fitness! While Joe Chaitken isn't handling me like a fragile piece, he's displayed an awareness of my limitations, and an interest in finding the "right" workouts to strengthen those trouble areas so that injury remains part of my past. After only a few session I was feeling stronger and more energetic. Joe has a unique way of making me want to push, without trying to make me push. He always seems to know right when I need a little encouraging nudge, and when I need to catch my breathe. I look forward to every session, and look forward to what I already know will be astonishing results! More...

We help our clients achieve their goals through an individualized-approach tailored to their specific needs. Align has been set up to offer support in a variety of forms including nutrition coaching, 1-1 training, semi-private training, and yoga. It's our job to find just the right mix to ensure our clients are successful. Additionally, the personal relationships we develop with our clients allow for increased accountability which increases the likelihood of success.

We genuinely care and aren't satisfied until you reach your goals! It's our commitment to our clients in combination with our education that really sets us apart. Our founder, Joe Chaitkin has a very strong educational background (Master's Degree from West Chester University), a variety of certifications, and has spent years educating other fitness professionals through seminars (www.fit-edu.com) and as a college professor at a variety of local universities. He ensures each team member has the practical knowledge (and the right personality when hiring) to provide outstanding service and results.

Services

We take a very different approach to personal training. After goal setting and movement screening an individualized program designed to blend what you want (your goals) and what you need (reducing injury through improved movement). Our coaches will teach you the most effective corrective exercises and build challenging and fun training programs. Don’t be surprised if you use kettlebells, TRX, bands, barbells, battling ropes, and more all in one session. Our creative programming will keep you excited for the next session.

Personal training at less than half the cost! Our small group personal training is always kept to 2-4 participants so we can guarantee individualized attention. Our coaches will blend individualized and general training for each person in every workout. For all of our specialized offerings see our schedule. Offerings will include: Align Low Impact Training, Align Kettlebell and Bodyweight, Align Golf Fitness, Align Metabolic Conditioning, Align Strength and Yoga, and Align TRX Strength and Cardio.

The Fit-and-Nutrish Program educates and guides individuals to a healthier lifestyle through sustainable dietary changes. Regular coaching and encouragement will help to hold you accountable and educate how to best utilize food to achieve maximum health and wellness. Our goal is to help you change your dietary habits by making healthier choices daily. Our nutrition coaches will help you make these changes through nutrition education, regular and active coaching, and long-term success. Education: Early in the nutrition counseling process, we help you build a foundation in the fundamentals of the science of nutrition. Your nutrition coach teaches you how to approach calories and food intake, and how to think through the planning and timing your meals. You will learn: How to building a balanced meal Label reading Triggers to food cravings and strategies to overcome them Active Coaching: The key to making successful long-term is changing your habits and identifying strategies to support your goals. Your coach will set you up for success through regular meetings (in-person or virtual). Each phone session will include your success and shortcomings over the last few days and how to can overcome the challenges everyone faces when adopting a healthier lifestyle. Your coach will be your cheerleader, teacher, accountability partner. Long-Term Success: Our nutrition counselors believe that developing an educational foundation in nutrition and learning how to make incremental improvements to your diet best prepare you for long-term success. Once you have achieved initial weight loss and progressed through normal weight-maintenance, we provide a support system for maintaining your improved lifestyle for the long-term.

The mission of our yoga program is to provide a new home, a place of comfort, confidence, and community; to encourage, inspire and give you the tools to become the very best version of yourself. Our Yoga Program is led by Jessica Harris RYT . Jessica approaches yoga instruction with the mindset that each client is having an individual experience. Each client may have preconceived ideas of how yoga should look and feel. However, her approach, and primary goal is to practice being present and honor the body’s capabilities at each moment. By focusing on how the body feels in each pose, the client practices at his or her own comfort level. Jessica always teach yoga breathing, foundational poses and variations, and incorporates the use of props for specific body needs. Once these foundational skills are mastered and the client learns to focus on his or her body’s needs, the physical results of flexibility and improved strength are achieved.

Injury then surgery then physical therapy. Now what? Beginning an exercise program after a significant orthopedic or muscular injury (or surgery) can be scary. The knowledge of which exercises and weight loads are safe for you can be the difference between reinjury and success. Align Fitness specializes in exercise after injury. Our coaches are specially trained in assessment and corrective exercise to help you safely reach your post-injury goals. We do so through mobility, stability, postural, and core exercises which are all safely progressed. Our exercise after injury program is offered in a 1-1 and semi-private format. Our semi-private options for exercise after injury include Align Movement Fundamentals and Align Low Impact Training. See our semi-private training schedule here Through regular testing, corrective and traditional exercise we will help you get back to 100% and beyond.

The Align Golf Fitness Program is designed to help lower your scores and decrease pain (for some golfers) through a specialized golf-fitness training program. Our program is run by TPI Fitness Professionals with more than 9 years of golf fitness experience. All programs include a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Evaluation to determine individual strengths and weaknesses. Training programs are corrective in nature and designed to improve each weak physical attribute negatively effecting your swing (ability to separate, ability to stay over the ball, torso turn, balance in golf posture, etc.). Typical results with training include a more consistent swing, increased club head speed, and a decreased muscle/joint pain. Our Golf Fitness Program Offerings include online, one-on-one, and semi-private group training. Online Training: Our staff will put you through a full TPI Evaluation and an 18-session online training program will be created based around your weaknesses. Each workout will include access to the mytpi.com website, a progressive training program, and pictures/videos of each exercise which can be accessed from any device including your phone. 1-1 Training: Our 1-1 Training is completely individualized based upon your golf fitness evaluation. Depending upon your evaluation training might include: Stability Mobility/Flexibility Separation Rotational Power/Club Head Speed Balance Core Strength Lowerbody Strength Particular attention will be paid to your weakest attributes. Each session will include mobility/stretching, core training, balance, strength and power exercises. Semi-Private: Our small group program is a blend of individualized golf fitness training and general golf fitness exercises which benefit most golfers. The program begins with a brief TPI Evaluation and each training session will include: Power, Rotation, Upper Body, Lower Body, Core and Balance Semi-Private Sessions will combine all the movements needed to give you a more efficient/consistent swing and better performance.

Attention all athletes (and parents) who want an edge on the competition! The Align Sports Performance Program has been design to: Reduce injury risk and eliminate nagging injuries through cutting-edge testing and corrective programming Improve athleticism through scientifically proven agility, speed, and power training Gain muscle mass in the right places for your sport(s) with specific strength training Your improved agility, speed, power, and strength will amaze your coaches and teammates! No cookie-cutter programs here! We provide custom programming and great coaching for each athlete in every session! Our 4-1 athlete to coach ratio ensures you’ll get the individualized attention you need to maximize your results. Align Sports Performance Training includes: Individualized corrective exercise programming to reduce injury risk Flexibility and mobility training to improve movement quality Speed, agility, and plyometric power training to improve explosiveness Strength Training to set you apart from the competition Our Sports Performance Program includes option for any budget. We offer: Injury Prevention Testing, injury prevention programming, and athletic program development for the athlete who wants to train independently ($199 for a 6 week program) One-on-one training for the athlete who prefers to work with our coaches without other athletes ($70-75/session) Semi-private training for the athlete who prefers to exercise with others and enjoys a team environment ($30-35/session)
