Down the alley and a hidden restaurant at the back of the shopping plaza. The outside and front dinning area had hookah and people were able to smoke. We decided to sit inside because it was cold. If you're craving excellent Syrian food in Orange County, come to Aleppo's Kitchen. The Shish Tawook (chicken breast kebabs) were the juiciest and most tender chicken kebabs. The fattoush salad was also very delicious with crunchy pita bread on top. It was lighter on lemon and heavier on balsamic vinegar which was really delicious. We also ordered hummus, mutabbal, tabbouleh, Aleppo's kibbeh, chicken shawarma, steak skewers, and mint tea for a party of 4 people. No food was left over. Since my family was in the area, we decided to try middle eastern food on Brookhurst food. This was the first time we tried this type of food and we were impressed. Aleppo's definitely deserve their stars. Parking: Plenty of parking. It was hidden and difficult to find. We argued about following directions, but the arguments stopped when we found this place in a back lot and entered the restaurant.Atmosphere: Restaurant is clean. Cool middle eastern decoration and there is a mural on one of the walls. They ask if we wanted to sit inside or outside.  If you can't tolerate the hookah smell, I recommend sitting inside, although they tend to leave the door open and you can smell it a little bit.Food: Portions are large and quality is great. We ordered hummus with beef, lamb Kebseh, and steak kabob. Hummus had a smooth texture and it was a good appetizer with beef and served with pita bread. Steak kabob was good and large portion. Lamb Kebseh was impressive. Big pieces of lamp and so tender it fell off the bone. Seasoned rice was delicious and peanuts gave it a good crunch.Service: Great. The waiter was friendly. I will not stop coming here. It has been my mission to introduce as many of my friends as possible to Aleppo's. I always suggest the chicken shish tawook, as it is stellar, and it never disappoints. Although to be fair everything on the menu is delicious. There is a few restaurants that serves good Arabic food and this is one of them.  today we had Mansaf which is basically lamb cooked in yogurt.  It was really really good, the meat was soft, it almost melted  in my mouth. Is there any way to give 10 stars We over ordered for 2 people because we knew this place was going to be amazing! We ordered the  hummus/pita bread as well as the cheese borek for appetizers. They were delicious! The cheese in the borek is not your everyday cheese, it's a high quality savory cheese. The hummus was also not your every day hummus it was full of flavor and you can tell they took pride in making it, just like the rest of their food. We ordered an item off their specialty menu, it was an okra and beef stew. That came with rice that had slivers of fresh almonds (great touch). That stew thing was mine and my husbands favorite item! The flavor was amazing. We had to slow our roll otherwise we wouldn't have been able to fit in the huge players of the mixed kabobs we got. My husband got it as pictured, I substituted the steak kabobs for more ground beef kofta. It was ALL delicious! Not to mention the outstanding service by the two young men that were there. One said his mother is the chef. His mother is a genius that gives people a little piece of heaven when they come eat her food. I seriously felt like I was on cloud 9 as I ate this food. AMAZING food. Great service. The kabseh was tender and the rice was The bameya was amazing My personal favorite was the cheese sticks. Those sticks got devoured quickly. They can improve customer service a bit. The waiter was a bit rude and had an attitude. Everytime we said thank you, he never answered and just walked away. It was my second or third time visiting Aleppo's kitchen. I love their food!! It's great!! It's a hidden spot but worth the try. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have hookah. I had their hummus, sheesh Tawook, combination plate. I love their chicken!!! It was great! I went yesterday and my experience wasn't as great because one of their employees needs some training about customer service. When a customer asks the server to bring spoons. You bring spoons there is no need to make fun of that. If you eat with a spoon then you shouldn't use that same spoon to serve again since more people are using that plate. So when asking a server to bring more spoons there is no need to say " do you want bigger spoons" that's rude and when people say thank you, you don't walk away. That's to their server Mohammed to learn manners when speaking to customers. I spoke to their manager Hani and apologized for the employee's behavior. Not from this area an happened upon this oddly located gem thanks to yelp. We've tried many Mediterranean restaurants from Seattle, Portland and further south in California with both family in Portland and friends in Salem who own Mediterranean restaurants. Aleppo's honestly had some of the best  food we've ever had. We started with the lemon mint drinks and stuffed grape leaves. Just at the appetizer we knew we were in for a great treat. The spices were perfect and the grape leaves were perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Jordanian Lamb Mansaf and I had the Khash Khash Kebab. Both were amazing but the Mansaf was out of this world good. All of the food came out piping hot, and had the most delicious flavor. The servings were more than generous- my husband still eats like a teenage boy with a hollow leg and we had enough left overs to feed both of us again the next day and still had some left over - next time we would absolutely share the Mansaf. I saw another review about the service- I would like to note that we were visited multiple times and had great conversation with our server who was heavily accented and this culturally "could" be confused with curtness but they definitely were not. I was very impressed with the service and wish we lived closer to patron this magnificent restaurant over and over again. Literally the only thing I wish it had was a wine selection to pair with the food. There wasn't any alcoholic drinks offered so I would assume this has more to do with obtaining a liquor license if anything. Really good food & service. They messed up on a substitution of hummus for cucumber yogurt dip and let me keep both. High quality meat. We got the sirloin, beef shawarma, hummus, and cheese borek. Tasty lamb dishI ordered a lamb dish that was a cut of tender lamb on top of some delicious bed of flavored rice.  I don't know the dish's name, but it's the only lamb dish on the menu with a picture of it on it. Fantastic meal!

Best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Anaheim , Simple yet very Authentic Syrian homemade food.The portions are great, I often end up taking the food Home. Mansaf and Mixed Kibbeh are my favourite 2 Dishes Very well Spiced , and accompanied with the right Condiments.I like to come here, when its less busy. Service is fast and friendly. It was my first time at this restaurant. All and all this restaurant offers great atmosphere and delicious food. Everything is reasonably priced and they have a variety of options. The plates are also well portioned, and they are very kind with providing sauces to spice things up. I had gone in thinking a plate of food would not be enough to fill me up, and I was wrong!
