Food was delicious and staff was friendly. The queso is not to be missed! It was so yummy. The steak was also incredible. This was less crowded and better than most other restaurants in the small town of Marfa.

This place is a gem!!! The staff treats you like a long lost family member. The eclectic farm fresh menu is outstanding (we ate through most of it). Their hand picked items with a laid back, rustic, European design aesthetic will make you want to move in. My advise: party of 6, arrive at 6, 4 bottles of wine, order a bunch and close the place down. Loved it! You'll hate to leave. More...

Ate dinner here twice one weekend, and I had the ability to eat at other restaurants in town. So that's a good sign. Labeling it as a "wine bar" kind of limits what you think of this place. I'd view it as more of a restaurant. The setting itself is incredible. The inside is very small and very "cozy" for the winter, which makes it fun. (It's an old house.)The outdoor seating area is incredible. Big fan of all of the food. Saw a ton of people order the queso. All of the other food was also great. Will certainly return again - great time. More...

waiter was super nice, gave us free topo chico's due to the fact that there was a wait (there wasn't a long wait at all, in fact food came out pretty speedy. ) the sitting area was well lit and very well designed, and they had a screen (or glass?) barrier that kept from flies getting in which i loved! i had the chicken AC Tacos which were a dream. the sauce on the tacos were great and the quality of the chicken was stellar. later on we had a dessert - a brownie with red wine ice cream and walnuts on top. it was awesome! if i'm back in marfa i would definitely come back. We always take our visitors to Al Campo, not just for the outstanding atmosphere and warm friendly owners but for the outstanding food and wine. This time we had the octopus, beet salad, queso, chicken tacos and steak plus beer and wine. The octopus came with the most outstanding potato salad I have ever eaten - how they made potato salad so fresh and light I will never know (unless I sneak into the kitchen and watch them make it). I even brought some home so I could have it the next day. Anyway, we all enjoyed our evening at Al Campo. It is always our crowd pleaser place to go. More...

Stopped in to Marfa on a road trip thru the Southwest. Read about Al Campo and something about queso and figured I needed to check it out. Mild cayenne seasoned chips, sausage queso and a glass of sauvignon blanc.... perfection. All the flavors were perfectly matched and the wine was subtle and a delicious pairing with the meal. It's definitely a lot of food but for a meal that was barely $30 (including 2 glasses of wine), it was super affordable. The staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. And the whole vibe is just damn cool. Thank you Al Campo Crew!! More...

The pork tacos will change your life! Clearly all the food at Al Campo is prepared with time, thoughtfulness, and love. Tatanka (the owner) welcomes every guest with warmth and hospitality. The statement "You're home" is displayed in many places throughout this sanctuary like outdoor cantina and truly you do feel at home the moment you walk through the doorway. I want to come back to Marfa specifically to eat those pork tacos, can't wait to come back!! More...

If I lived here, I would be here all the time drinking wine, eating queso, and writing. The place is artsy and beautiful, lots of different spaces to be inside or outside. This place was my favorite part of my Marfa weekend. The ambience is worth spending a few hours: succulents galore, hammocks, fans, music, and friendly people. Then there's the delicious wine & food! Went here with a large group after calling ahead, the owner set us up with a great table for all 14 of us and had it ready when we arrived. Then the owner proceeded to recommend what we order, everything he suggested was amazing, probably some of the best food most of us have ever had, it all came out super fast as well. I would highly recommend the potatoes, the beets and cauliflower salad, and the smoked chicken. Thanks so much Al Campo for a great experience for the entire group, we loved the meal! Tatanka and Lauren welcomed us like family....not a concept owned by groups in Austin or Houston - real, authentic and delicious. Run by family, treated like family. We decided to visit this place on short notice. After having a few beers at planet Marfa we walked down to Al Campo. They have a great wine selection along with a pretty large appetizer menu. I was here late April and am still thinking about Al Campo every day! My partner and I celebrated our two year anniversary in Marfa and got dinner here the night of. Our server (Caleb) was so attentive and kind. He said he was new to the area but gave us recommendations on things to check out. I got a glass of rosè, and my partner had a few local beers. We ordered the cauliflower tacos and absolutely loved them. Al Campo is decorated beautifully and everyone we encountered was warm. We chatted with a few other people who were enjoying the garden. I'm hoping we visit Marfa again so we can return. Definitely my favorite place we visited :) More...

My fiancé and I were just in Marfa this past week. I would have to say this place was hands down my favorite food/atmosphere. I order a bottle of sparkling Rose for the table and the Shrooms app. The Shrooms were cooked absolutely PERFECT, I cannot begin to even try and find one issue with them. I had a great time here tonight with my family. The wines were great and the atmosphere was awesome-beautiful patio and decorations. I LOVED the cauliflower tacos. My husband and parents didn't seem to love it quite as much, and commented that the menu was a bit limited. I would have rated this as 5 stars, but did find it a bit pricey. For example, my husband got the cauliflower side dish, and while it was very good, it was $11 and not very big. If prices were a bit lower and a bit more options on the menu, I'd give this one 5 stars :) More...

Such a funky and chill place in Marfa. The beer garden is filled with an eclectic mix of chairs, tables, lights and is very dog friendly. In cooler weather, they will make a fire in several fire pits. They have a sizable drink menu with a smaller food menu. Ordered the chicken tacos and roasted turmeric cauliflower.
