Wow what an experience! My employer celebrated 50 years in business and hired 2 catamarans (no more than 30 guests to a boat, and our group was almost 60 people) for a gorgeous sunset cruise. The catering menu was extensive, and we all enjoyed sushi, chicken satay skewers,  pizza and desserts along with beer and wine. No hard liquor allowed on board! We had a fabulous time, and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique way to celebrate a special occasion. Your guests will never forget it! More...

Absolutely spectacular with an incredible staff! Nice, relaxing setting with bean bags for chairs to chill on the front of the Catamaran.  The stay was super friendly and Captain Ken helped to ensure everyone got on and off the boat safely.  I definitely recommend an excursion with this great group of professionals and am looking forward to my next Adventuress :) More...

I booked their "Anchor & Play" package for my husband's 40th birthday party and we had the best time ever!The ride was a tiny bit bumpy as we exited the marina, but then calmed down once we got into the bay, and no one got sick (even though we had a few nervous folks aboard). We anchored at Glorietta Bay and they brought out an assortment of kayaks, SUPs and a giant floating island. We acted like kids for a couple hours, then took a relaxing ride back in - with epic views, of course. Our total package was 4 hours, which was great, but the time in the water went by faster than you'd think - if we did it again we'd add an extra hour or two.Their staff (Captain Brock, Mike and Sofia) were fantastic. Sofia's service was well beyond what I had expected. I chose to bring our own food & drinks and pay their cleaning/corkage fees, but I still pretty much expected to do all the work myself... not the case. Sofia had the food almost completely setup by the time I even got on the boat. She was attentive to taking care of our guests, cut & served the birthday cake, and had everything packed up for me by the time the boat docked. So I got to truly relax enjoy the party - which is often not the case for the host!We had 23 people on the boat, and every single person wants to go back. We highly recommend! More...

PERFECT for our Small Wedding Reception!!!My husband and I had a 45 person Beach Wedding down in Imperial Beach this last weekend (the weekend of Comicon, ugh). With all of our guests being from either Nebraska or Mexico, we wanted a unique reception experience that wasn't a traditional big dance in a rented out hotel ballroom. We wanted our guests to be able to mingle with each other and get to know each other while seeing our beautiful new home town (we just moved here in January). The Adventuress was PERFECT! We booked a 2 hour cruise with heavy appetizers from the Adventuress menu and our own beer and wine from 7-9pm. For food we ordered sandwiches, wraps, sushi, fruit, and shrimp cocktail and everyone LOVED the shrimp cocktail! We ordered an 8 inch cake and cupcakes from a Cheesecake company and I had friends of mine arrive with the cake, cupcakes, supplies and decorations 45 minutes before the cruise began. We paid an extra fee to be able to bring on our own alcohol and we provided ice, plastic champagne and wine flutes and they had extra coolers for all of our drinks! The cruise itself was the perfect time of day with the amount of light and then the sunset and we saw views of the San Diego skyline and city lights as it got dark! The crew accommodated for my two grandmothers who wanted to be at the front of the boat by bringing them chairs and blankets and they were able to watch my husband and I slow dance with ourselves and our parents. Prior to the big day, I was able to email questions and suggestions and I always received a polite response back. I did decide to put the tulle on the front of the boat for an extra charge and I painted a life ring with our names and wedding date that I really wanted hanging at the front of the boat. When the groom and I arrived, it looked perfect! Captain Ken and his crew were AMAZING! They were VERY nice to my guests and even served them champagne, helped to set up a table to cut our cake, and played our special playlist throughout the night, turning the volume up and down for specific songs that we wanted to slow dance with people. All of my guests were so impressed with the experience and the cost was absolutely fantastic when compared to other wedding reception options! Fabulous experience from initial booking with Kestrel and Heather through to the end. Wonderfully efficient with the arrangements and made good suggestions for catering. The 30th birthday Strawberry Bavarian cream cake we ordered was beautifully decorated and delicious. The sushi platter was very popular and was gobbled up quickly. We did a 4 hour cruise and the hosting service provided by Sofijia was friendly and attentive. Captain Brock and the crew were also terrific and experienced. Very comfortable seating/standing areas for our 30 guests, especially the beanbag chairs. Blankets were passed around when it got a little chilly. All if our guests loved it (no one got seasick by the way). I have nothing negative to say - I would highly recommended the Adventuress for your next event or party! More...

My twin sister and I wanted to celebrate our 30th birthday in a fun and unique way so we found the Adventuress Luxury Catamaran on Yelp and could not be happier with our sailing day!  Prior to the trip Heather answered all of our questions and concerns.  They are very accommodating to whatever kind of boat experience you want. We provided our own food and wine, beer & champagne (no hard liquor allowed), and had sandwiches, chips and cupcakes. The boat provided water, soda and coolers, and they had a few fridges on board.  We brought plastic cups, plates and napkins and the crew helped us set everything up prior to departure and cleaned everything upon docking. Our friends (about 20 of us) were so impressed with the boat! Captain Ken and the crew were so nice and fun!  We had my phone plugged in as I had a Playlist but the boat had their own music that was great too! Just celebrated my 50th birthday on the Adventuress.  Everything was perfect! Capt Ken is awesome.  His crew was very attentive and friendly.  They all helped us set up the food and drinks as well as making sure all of my guests were taken care of throughout the cruise. The weather was perfect.  I was able to completely enjoy my friends and family and didn't have a worry in the world.  My friends were beyond impressed with the size and comfort of the catamaran.  Even with over 40 guests, the boat is so huge that it never felt crowded. The bean bag chairs up on the bow make for very comfortable seating.  When the sun went down and it got a little chilly, the crew brought out blankets for anyone who wanted one.  Thank you Ken & Heather for helping to make my birthday celebration flawless. BEST. DAY. EVER!I celebrated my 30th birthday aboard the Adventuress last weekend and ALL of my expectations were exceeded. Captain Ken, Brock and Genevieve were so friendly and helpful during our three hour excursion, they made the afternoon one to remember. The Catamaran is beautiful and spacious. I booked a sail around the bay for a bachelorette party of 16 girls.  It was such a success!  Booking was easy with Heather.  She worked with me for weeks on the booking, helping me decide everything from where to sail and for how long to what to serve to what to wear.  She put my mind at ease about how rocky the boat would be and about our options if the weather wasn't great.  I was so pleased with the whole experience.  The boat was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable.   She served our group a champagne toast and chocolate strawberries when we were relaxing on the deck.  It was heaven!  We had the best time!  They made sure our food order was prepared and the service was fantastic.  We easily hooked up our music and had the best time hanging out.  Beautiful boat, fantastic service!  Couldn't ask for a better experience and can't wait for another occasion to do it again!! We recently joined about 20 friends and kids for a late afternoon cruise out the SD Bay on the Adventuress...a stop off-shore near the Del Coronado and then a sunset off Pt. Loma.  The boat is fabulous, the décor high-end, and it is outfitted with all the appropriate equipment to enjoy the day.  The scenery was marvelous and the pod of dolphin was a special treat.  What made for a most special day was host/CPT Kenny and Heather.  Our enjoyment was their consistent focus, whether it was a glass of wine or a trek to the heavy snack table.  We heartily recommend an Adventuress excursion!! This crew & cruise deserve at least 6 on your scale of 5!  The owners and crew were there at every step from greeting us at the parking lot gate to helping our guests board their beautifully appointed Adventuress, to our disembarking at the end of a memorable cruise.     Heather was always available, gracious and patient with our numerous phone calls before the cruise, reassuring us about our concerns and the needs of our guests (who ranged from 8 years to 93). And then she and Brock were so helpful in loading all our food on their immaculately clean, beautiful and roomy Catamaran that looks like it was on its maiden voyage.     The cruise was stunning.  Cap'n Kenny assured our safety in a clear and informative, yet not dry or boring safety talk, and then set sail right on time so we rounded Point Loma under sail to enjoy an absolutely gorgeous sunset. Then back to enjoy the city lights twinkle on. Beautiful. The combination of crew, Adventuress, and San Diego Bay deserve so many superlatives. I needed to plan a closing dinner for our management offsite.  I wanted it to be extra special since it's our last night in SD. The first Catamaran charter I called wasn't available on the night we needed.  He referred me to the Adventuress and was put in touch with Heather.  Thank goodness!  It turned out to be thee most perfect closing to our offsite!  Beautiful boat (very well maintained), gorgeous sunset, warm summer night and an amazing crew!  Captain Ken, Brock and Heather were excellent and really put together such an awesome and enjoyable sunset dinner cruise for 25 people. It is such a pleasure for me (on behalf of my family) to "brag" about Adventuress Luxury Catamaran. We chartered this beautiful catamaran this past Sunday for a burial at sea. There were about 20 of us, including young kids and there was more than adequate room for us all. Plenty of bean bag chairs, tables and even a couple of cozy on-board rafts which the kids liked. The craft itself has a pretty smooth ride which was nice for most of our party since many haven't acquired sea legs yet. This was a morning affair, so we had ordered some pastries and fruit...all of which was delicious. But the biggest compliment was to Captain Ken, Dave and Brock, for their incredible sensitivity and compassion to all of us and treating this burial with such touching reverence. I did most of my pre-planning with Heather, who answered all of my questions quickly and completely which made the process so easy and stress free. This luxury catamaran deserves more than 5 stars, it truly is beautiful and the service is exceptional.  My company hosted an event on this boat and we had an amazing time from the time we walked up to the time we got off. We were greeted by the owner who and the 2 captains who really provided a very enjoyable evening for us all.The boat was extremely clean, there was plenty of sitting and standing room, they have very comfy bean bag type of seats, below is a kitchen type of area with a table and cushioned seats and the back of the boat is a nice place to sit if you get chilly.The food they had for us was delicious, lots of appetizer trays and the drinks were flowing.  We sailed around the bay, they stopped so we could get some great photos and catch the gorgeous sunset.Beautiful boat, fabulous experience, great food, drinks and exceptional service.  Thank you! ...and I would give 10 stars....We celebrated our combined Libra birthdays 40  friends on the Adventuress with and it was amazing. The crew Kenny, Eric and Brock were so much fun and sweet. We did a 3 hour mid day bay cruise, brought and  served champagne and sandwiches, played our music and danced on deck. The catamaran is very spacious (4 bathrooms and a full kitchen) with enough space for a larger group. # hours were not enough....We will do it again, that's for sure. A new tradition just started. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I just had my 40th birthday party on the Adventuress and it was amazing! It was more than I could of even hoped for! The crew made everyone feel welcome, explained things along the trip, made you feel very at home!The boat itself is just spectacular! Beautiful, spacious and most of all comfortable! People gathered up front on the bean bag chairs, in the back at the tables and inside at the table and everyone was comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDWe hosted our wedding in San Diego. 90% of our guests traveled in from the east coast, so we wanted to do something extra special for the the wedding party. What's more San Diego than spending a couple hours on a catamaran sailing San Diego Bay? The Adventuress Catamaran was the perfect vessel (pun intended) to get the pre-wedding festivities started. I am a local photographer who was fortunate enough to land a job photographing a family event aboard the Adventuress.  The first thing you noticed is that the boat was immaculate and ready for the guests to board when I arrived an hour early.  The crew was wonderful and fun to work with.  Captain Ken is very experienced, competent and should the utmost concern for passenger safety as well as enjoyment.  The passengers didn't want for anything as the crew was very attentive throughout the entire evening sail.  I would highly recommend this boat and Captain Ken to anyone who is looking for an amazing adventure, a place to entertain family, friends or clients or to host an event. Captain Ken, Kes and Brock were so great!!!! We had family in from New York for our June 7th wedding and wanted to do something special for them before hand.  Special it was!!!  The 2 hour sunset cruise was amazing!!!  All of us had such a good time.  Ken and the staff were so friendly and accommodating and so very helpful.  There was plenty of room on the boat for our group of 23 and we had a blast!  Take lots of photos and soak it all in.  It was an incredible start to the wedding weekend.  Thank you!!!!!  Rent this boat, you won't regret it!!! I got married aboard the Adventuress on 11/7/13 and I have never experienced better customer service in my entire life. Let me just say that if it weren't for discovering this sail boat to utilize for my ceremony and reception, there is no way I would have had the same (or comparable) experience elsewhere. Captain Ken was away on vacation during my wedding so the boat was co-captained by Brock (which we found out right away so there were no surprises and he did an awesome job!).My fiancé and I met with Brock and Ken a few months prior to the wedding to view the boat before deciding to book. Once we decided to move forward, we signed a contract with Heather which was very easy and straight forward and all prices where what we were quoted. From that day, most of my contact was with Brock. In the months leading to the wedding, I probably text him 20 times with questions on the layout, supplies on the boat, and other general questions. Never once was he unprofessional or short with me (although I probably bugged him). He listened to every word I said on where I wanted things placed (decorations, food, alcohol), how I wanted my music to work day of, and he even provided very helpful directions that made the entire process easier. The day before the big day we met with Brock to discuss the timeline for the wedding and ceremony and he was very detailed in explaining how the guests would board the boat and be served drinks, when and how I would exit my dressing room, where all the guests would be situated when I walked out, and everything else down to every detail.    My fiancé and I made our own food and brought our own alcoholic beverages which kept cost down but this option of renting the Adventuress for 3 hours for our wedding and ceremony was BY FAR THE BEST OPTION FOR THE MONEY! Not only was the price amazing but we had our ceremony and reception in one location which made things SO EASY. Because we went this route, we didn't have bridesmaids or groomsmen which made planning a dream. On the day of the wedding, I was paranoid (like any bride would be) because I wanted things to be perfect but Brock and his team made things run more smoothly then I imagined they could. The ceremony was perfect, the weather was ideal, and the sunset was magical.If you want a dream wedding with easy planning and awesome customer service, book the adventuress for your big day! We just got married on August 30th and had by far the most beautiful wedding. I wouldn't have done it any other way. The crew was amazing, the boat was spacious and it was a great time had by all! Ken captained the boat and  is laid back and friendly. I had high expectations of my wedding day and this experience blew those right out of the water. It was better than I ever expected. Great idea if you are not willing to spend $$$ on one night and want your guests to have a lasting memory of your wedding night - plus, you don't have to deal with decorating costs and renting a venue (the venue and reception are on the boat). I know I have guests from that evening who have expressed interest in chartering this same boat again for upcoming events and hope to be able to do the same soon. I had an amazing time with my friends for a birthday sail charter! The Captain Ken was a really nice guy and he even let the birthday girl steer the catamaran for a little while. The Captain and crew were very nice and had an amazing spread of food including sandwiches, breads, crackers, cheese, fruit and of course dessert! The really cool thing about the catamaran is that it is very stable and can catch slight breezes. No need worry about getting seasick. We went by the USS Midway, Star of India, Bait Barge which had quite a few sea lions, pelicans, herons and egrets on it. The captain told me that they even do whale watching charters.I highly recommend the Adventuress Catamaran!! More...

I celebrated my 29th birthday on The Adventuress with about 18 friends. I had such a FANTASTIC time. The entire experience surpassed my expectations in every way possible. The crew was beyond wonderful, extremely helpful and just a pure joy to be around. Their energy was a great addition to the easy going party atmosphere on the boat. The boat herself is downright beautiful, immaculately clean and cozy. I felt right at home and didn't want to leave, in fact, I was ready to move in! I had more then one friend say that I should make a cruise on The Adventuress a birthday tradition every year. I certainly plan on chartering the boat again, and cannot recommend this company enough. If you want to rent a Catamaran in San Diego - hands down, you need to go to adventuress.us. Captain Kenny provides an awesome experience for his clients. I rented the Adventuress for a 2-hr. sunset cruise in the harbor. The weather wasn't ideal, but the trip absolutely was. The boat is beautiful and in pristine condition. The crew is very capable, friendly and personable. The service was impeccable. I forgot a book on the boat and they made a point to shipping it back to me immediately, at no cost to me.I could not recommend this beautiful vessel and wonderful crew more strongly. Rent this boat. Some friends invited me and my girlfriend out on a tour with the Adventuress and we had a blast! I wasn't sure what to expect from a boat tour, but this was hardly just a boat. The Adventuress is like a floating penthouse apartment with a big screen TV, a beautiful cabin with a kitchen and 4 bedrooms. We spent most of our time on the deck relaxing while enjoying drinks and awesome catered food. Our captain Ken and Brock are super cool guys and very informative about everything around the harbor. Brock was also kind enough to let us take out the  SUP boards. I highly recommend spending some time on the Adventuress if you get the chance, it is definitely a taste of the good life! More...

Gray Whale watching on the Adventuress  was amazing!  The captain really knows what he is doing.  It was like he knew each whale by name.  I learned so much about the whales, the harbor, and boating.  We had a great time.  The boat was so comfortable out on the deck, and in the cabin.  I have never enjoyed a beanbag chair as much as the ones on deck.  The entertaining space down below was so luxurious, it tops what most people have in their homes!  So worth your time to enjoy a day out on the Adventuress.  Not often can you find activities that make everyone happy from the little kids to "big kids". This boat is amazing! I'd never been on a luxury catamaran yacht before, so this was a real treat. If you're looking for a great way to hang out with friends, enjoy beautiful San Diego, and just relax. . . this is the ticket!!! And the prices are really reasonable, too. Not only is Captain Ken way cool, he's also very knowledgable about the natural history of the area. Why not get educated while you have a little fun I have very high expectations and The Adventuress and crew definitely lived up to all of them.
