We came early for dinner during the week. We had a larger party so they sat us at the table right in front of the fireplace. It was so nice and cozy. The waiter took my drink order right away while I was waiting for the rest of my party. They have an amazing happy hour with deals on appetizers and drinks. Wines are $3.00 a glass, draft beer is $2.00 and sangria is $5.00. Ask for dipping sauce with your bread, it is an olive oil blend and so yummy with their bread. We had the calamari for an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked. For an entree, I had the chicken carbonara which was not my favorite. However, I have tried some other things since and they were all delicious so I would try other entrees next time instead of the carbonara. Our waiter started lacking about half way through dinner. Some needed to leave and could not find him for several minutes to get the bill. I asked for a to go order and after everyone had paid and some left I was still waiting for it. I finally asked about it and it was brought out. The waiter chased me down in the parking lot bringing me a free dessert because of the wait for the to go food and their mistake for not bringing it out quicker. It was tiramisu and it was ok. After sometime living in the area, my boyfriend and I finally decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara and he had the Adriatic Special. Let me tell you! They make you feel at home.Our local favorite for a stress-free, low-key dinner dash. Friendly staff, family atmosphere, delicious dishes for a very fair price. Finally made it to Adriatic after rave reviews from family. The restaurant was very busy for a Sunday night, but our party of 15 was seated within 15 minutes. They committed the popular sin of seating 15 at a four-top, so we were very cramped. The garlic knots are hot and fresh, delicious...and addicting. Resist the urge to eat 8 of them. The calamari appetizer was hot and crispy fried to perfection. Served with Adriatic's pride and joy - their homemade marinara. A great way to start the meal. I ordered the Greek salad to share with my daughter. It was very fresh and HUGE. The only negative, and I can't believe I'm saying this, is that I felt there was too much feta. Every bite was overly cheesy.Main course was the Zuppa de Pesce. Shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams sautéed in a white wine pink sauce that was like and Alfredo with a touch of marinara. The seafood was plump (no salad shrimp here), and was delicious, although I couldn't fully appreciate it until the next day due to my garlic knot addiction. You know. I like this place. Good review. Thanks guys!Okay no seriously this place is delicious. I know they have another restaurant but why when this is so convenient for me. So I have a couple cons that doesn't give it a 5 star. The parking lot is odd. They built the restaurant there and don't share it but it was designed poorly and it needs to be said. Secondly, I'm a boother. I like to only sit in booths. Their booths are crammed in there like a car fill of clowns. They could have removed a booth from either side and it would be a SO much more enjoyable experience. Done with that rant. The food!They give you this super amazing delicious bread with this parm shake on top and it's just. Just delicious. I eat so much I can barely eat my dinner itself. Score leftovers. I had a small Greek salad as a starter. It was a meal almost itself. Huge. Delicious. And amazing. And chicken carbonara. My absolutely favorite. Creamy. Bacony. Mushroom..ey. It's perfect. We've been going since the restaurant opened. We are frequent diners at this restaurant and go almost every week. They even have a frequent diners program, but the waiters and waitresses frequently forget to give you the credit for your meals. This happened to us and we even brought this to the attention of the manager. It kind of spoils an otherwise great meal and special night out for my wife and I who love your food. Either stop having the frequent diner program or make sure the staff gives the proper credit to your customers. The ambience was warm and inviting as my husband and I walked in for an early dinner. We were immediately seated in a booth in the bar area. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the chicken piccata and my husband ordered the lasagna, and I had a glass of house chardonnay.We were served warm, fresh bread before our meals arrived. It was actually pretty delicious!Our meals came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my meal. Basically, the spaghetti was over cooked, slices of a chicken breast were thrown on top and capers were strewn about the dish. My husband was happy with his lasagna, however. I was quite hungry so I ended up eating most of my chicken piccata even though I didn't like it very much. We had dinner at Adriatic Cafe this evening. Happily surprised they have happy hour 3pm - 6pm during the week.$3 house Chardonnay was very good. Calamari & our entrees were excellent.We didn't care for the oil dip. Way too much cheese so much that we couldn't taste even a hint of garlic.I put the oil dip on the empty calamari plate only to have waiter put it back on our table. That irritated me because we were done with the oil dip. It was in the way when entrees came.Won't ever order oil dip again. Dren and his staff were excellent as always! Warm, delicious Italian cuisine like mom used to make. The veal piccata was awesome and the really fresh, crisp and flavorful veggies as a side was a bonus. You can't beat this place for the fine quality food and price. Tomball's little secret.
