What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Part of the key to taking a great photograph (besides technical knowledge) is being able to see and appreciate the beauty and unique identity of what is being photographed.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Key questions when beginning a new project are what the client's vision is and what turnaround time they're looking at. If the client isn't sure what exactly they want, I enjoy working with them to brainstorm ideas or narrow it down.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to preserve moments with photography. I also love how the awareness makes me see and notice things in my daily life that I might otherwise miss.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I initially began the business in 2008, but some problems in the industry and ways people were misusing photography caused me to withdraw from actively participating in the market as much for a while. Ultimately, I realized that it made no sense to stifle something that I loved to do, and that I could participate without furthering the problematic behaviors I was seeing; I could determine to do things a better way. Photography is something I truly love to do, so I'm extremely happy to have made this decision.

I'm easy to work with, I'll use my skills to help make the best photographs possible but also won't force a particular artistic vision on you, my rates are negotiable and competitive, and I have ability to bring out the subtle tones of beauty and emotion in photography in a way that makes people stop and look twice.
