I've had many delights from here over the years that I cannot say enough good things about! However, I will say that the cakes and pumpkin rolls are out of this world. I've lived in cities from the west coast to east coast and you'll be hard pressed to find cakes that are this moist (apparently for those who hate the word moist, we're supposed to use "spongy" haha, but that just doesn't do these justice.) The batter is perfectly balanced each time; I've never had a treat from here where an ingredient stood out, just the perfect blend of "oh my gosh I'm going to eat this entire cake for breakfast". The prices are so incredibly accessible that I actually thought they were a typo. Great local business I'm more than happy to recommend! At our recent Friendsgiving we had a handful of goods from A Sweet Morsel (two of which, I'll admit, I actually hid because I decided I was going to keep them for myself!!) and the mixed cookie platter was such a hit that it was gonzo in about 10 minutes! They do an amazing job! We got a toy story cake and cake pops for my sons birthday. They looked great and tasted great. Everyone loved the cake; especially the raspberry filling. We also got a peppa pig cake, rainbow smash cake, and peppa cookies for my daughters birthday; and it all looked great. The cookies were so cute! They were so nice to work with as well. I absolutely love the cookies at this little shop. They offer a good selection that they ship or you can pick up at the store. I'm not sure if they sell all their cookies year round because I've only been during the holiday season, which is when I discovered the Pecan Dip cookies. OMG, delicious!! I bought cupcakes for a birthday party and everyone loved them. I had three different flavors, vanilla,chocolate and carrot cake. All were yummy. Shannon from The Perfect Pastry did 100 dozen cookies for our wedding, and they were absolutely spectacular! We've had cookies from TPP many times on several other occasions and felt good about choosing them, but we didn't expect the wedding cookies to be as fantastic as they were. We received tons of comments about how delicious they tasted and we didn't have many left once the night ended because everyone packed the take-home boxes to the brim.Shannon was very professional, accommodating, and communicative. We wanted to make sure we could get our cookies to the venue's refrigerators before our wedding day, but we weren't sure when to come get them. Shannon was very easy to contact and kept us updated on what stage our order was in. She also trayed the cookies beautifully.There's a lot to pick from at The Perfect Pastry. We were debating on getting decorated cut-outs to match our peacock-themed wedding, but we couldn't pass on the other selections. Their peanut butter blossoms, ladylocks, thumbprints, and buckeyes are among my favorites, but their linzer cookies are to die for!! They're so buttery and flavorful, and I ate way too many than what is probably healthy for one person.I also recommend walking in to get some cookies. They have a great selection on site, but at least do not walk out of there without a container of buckeyes. My favorite used to come from Cracker Barrel, but The Perfect Pastry has them beat.
