Can't say enough good things about A La Carte! I had them cater my bridal shower and the food was a hit! Everything was delicious and beautifully decorated. Would recommend them to anyone!

A La Carte catered a reception for us consisting of light hors d’oeuvres and desserts. A La Carte was outstanding from planning through the cleanup after the event. Casey and Marcus, our captain, arrived a few days earlier to look at the space they would be working and setting up in to determine the equipment they would need to bring with them. A last minute problem with the building management’s requirements caused us to make a slight change to the menu requested and they easily adjusted and provided an excellently prepared substitute. The chef Audra, the captain Marcus and the server Sacramento arrived a couple of hours before the event to begin the food preparation and setup the staging area for the event. Sacramento helped me prior to the event by arranging the beverage napkins in a decorative manner and suggesting the display of the beverages we were offering. They all did a great job. Audra did a great job preparing the food. Marcus made adjustments to the setup and placement of the food based upon where the guests were congregated. Sacramento helped us at the bar and wherever he was needed or requested. Marcus and Sacramento stayed to break down the setup and make certain they left everything as clean as, if not cleaner than, they found it. The team was excellent, professional and on top of the situation without being intrusive at all times. I could not have survived the event without them. Great to work with Laura and A La Carte. I was seeking someone to provide desserts for my wedding and let me tell you, a lot of other bakers will charge you a hand and foot. I reached out to Laura requesting a list of desserts, and Laura replied back asking me "What are your favorite desserts, and what is the groom's favorite desserts" And after telling her, she created a list that represented US. That was truly thoughtful of her. She of course was respectful and asked if I wanted my original list I had thought about, but the desserts she had thought about were so unique, sounded much more delicious than my list, and exemplified the desserts who the wedding was for.I would definitely recommend A La Carte - Very easy to work with and I think that is exactly what I needed for my wedding More...

Wow, where can I start!!! A La Carte was amazing from beginning to end. They catered our wedding last year on Oct 16, 2016. I was so stressed out in finding and booking a cater for months, but when I came across A La Carte every burden was lifted and I can breath again. Laura and her staff did an outstanding job, went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. The food is amazing, loved everything we had on our menu. This review is LOOOONG overdue. Â I have been working with Laura at A La Carte Catering for a few years now and there is no one else I would go to in the Houston area. Â I am the Marketing Manager for a fashion brand and I organize 10 in-store events each month at our stores in the Western US. Â A La Carte is my favorite company to work with. Â Laura is responsive and helpful. Â Our stores are of a smaller size and they work with our limited space for set-up and execution. Â The food is always impeccable and I hear rave reviews from our customers. Â They work within our budget and cater to any custom requests. I needed to plan a wedding and dinner reception for 60-80 people in six weeks! I wasn't sure it could be all that I imagined with the time crunch until I met Laura from A la Carte! Â The name should be "everything including the kitchen sink" because that is what they provide. Â They went above and beyond to help me plan and execute the perfect wedding! From the amazing food to providing vendor contacts for every piece of the event. Â The event was in Richmond and I live in Austin... She made it work long distance. Â Always available, communication was great. Â The night if the wedding Marcus was on top of his game and taking care of every detail! Â You will not go wrong choosing A la Carte for your next event! A La Carte provides coordinators AND caterers. The use of the services is completely based on your needs. I originally hired the coordinators for day-before and day-of our wedding.
However; when our venue fell through, Laura and Marcus were right there to catch our fall. The coordinators put in more time than originally expected and were completely awesome.
A La Carte has established professional partnerships with various vendors. The coordinators managed scheduling needs for these services. You can do your own research of other vendors, of course. The coordinators will provide options to fit any budget.
The food is excellent quality. The food variety is diverse and flexible. To be frank, I don't recall any challenges that we faced on our wedding day.

A la Carte catered our wedding on November 9th and I could not be more pleased! The tasting was amazing and we felt like we were immediately amongst friends. We wanted a non traditional entree with some fun appetizers and wonderful people over at A La Carte had some great suggestions. We ended up going with shrimp and grits with a braised short rib....OUT OF THIS WORLD! We received so many compliments on the food and all the plates we saw were cleared. If you aren't a professional wedding planner, it might be a rare occasion to have to feed 100 people dinner. It might be more challenging to come up with a menu when you are planning a vegetarian meal. However, Laura at A La Carte made everything amazingly simple. The menu was delicious and I didn't hear one complaint, even from the hardcore carnivores. The price was reasonable and her staff was great.
