A co-worker had recommended "A Fresh Coat" to me a few years ago and we used them to do exterior painting on our stucco house. Their quote was prompt and reasonable, and their work was excellent. Neighbors stopped by to tell us that our house looked like new, and it is nearly 80 years old. We recently bought a larger home and had the interior painted. Again, their bid was prompt and reasonable. They worked us into their schedule and finished ahead of time. The quality of their work is excellent as usual. Very neat, clean and great attention to detail. They even dealt with a very troublesome ceiling at no extra charge and fit in some extra drywall repair in the schedule. Paul and Kurt have been amazing!
We were particularly concerned about the prep work on our kitchen cabinets, and they really did a thorough job with that. Their attention to details and pride in their work was impeccable. With some crews, my husband and I often feel like we're pulling teeth to get them to see the details. With Paul and Kurt, we felt like they saw all the same things we saw-- they made our older woodwork look great before we even needed to ask.

Also notable was the overall energy of the whole crew. They had a great way about them. They were actually fun to have in our house!

Kurt and his team (Chris, Ethan, Noel) were fantastic! They transformed our 100 year old craftsman. From the first site visit to the final walk through, they were professional, conscientious, proactive and meticulous. The project involved skim coating walls and ceilings smooth and painting. It sounds like a simple project but for an old house that was slightly neglected by the previous owner, it was no easy task. Kurt and team did not take any shortcuts.They used mesh tape for the skim coat which makes the final product that much more sturdy. And, it also keeps the integrity of the house.For the painting, they sanded and scrapped all the trim and woodwork so the new coat would adhere properly (as opposed to light sanding). They trim is sooo smooth now that I can’t stop touching it. Our floor contractor walked into the house after not seeing it for awhile and was stunned! He called it perfection!I would highly recommend A Fresh Coat Painting! More...

Fresh Coat was quick to come and inspect the home for a quote, and very quick with the work too (another contractor wanted me to measure everything for them and send a bunch of info through the website before they'd give me an email estimate). They were also quick with the work - just two days for our large front wall with repair/repainting of the wall, floor molding trim, and window trim. It has been three years since we contracted with A Fresh Coat for interior painting of our 1990's 3,000 sq ft home. I was just thinking of contacting them again as we are ready to move to the next phase of our updates. ..our garage door needs help!. These guys went above and beyond to get us scheduled in a time that worked for us and our two baby children. We trusted them so much that we had them come in with their scaffolding and gear while we were away at Disneyland! They totally delivered and even touched base every evening with an email progress update. These guys are perfectionists who really have an eye for the details. They did an amazing job restoring a sunroom that had chipping lead paint on tongue and groove wood on the walls and ceiling. They safely cleaned up the surfaces and prepped and painted the room it to look new. After several years of expanding and contracting on the panels, there is no sign of cracking or splitting at the seams. Still looks great! More...

Paul and Kurt of A Fresh Coat Painting are the best!  After researching painters a friend of ours suggested calling Paul and Kurt because they had recently used them and were very pleased with their work. We gave them a call and were very impressed with the great detail they went into about how they would carefully prime our home before painting and that they always applied two coats of paint. A Fresh Coat Painting has completed four assignments for me. The most recent one was painting the exterior of my house.I am quite pleased with their versatile workers who performed carpentry work in addition to painting. The carpentry and preparation for painting took almost three days. After painting the house exterior my faded looking front door was restored by a special painting technique that gave it a realistic wood-grain look.
