I brought my A4 in for it's 85,000 mile service and because I had a small coolant leak. After diagnostics, I was informed I had a leak from my water pump and my timing chain was bad. I gave him the go ahead on the water pump, because I couldn't afford the timing chain at the time. The next day, the extended warranty we bought for the car showed that the water pump and timing chain were covered! Paul, who has the most patience I have ever seen when dealing with insurance company bs, got them to cover the water pump even though the job was already done. He also got them to cover the timing chain and all that goes with that. You would think that this is what having a warranty is all about, but they made every step very difficult. Paul handled it all with aplomb and got the job done! He was courteous, professional, conscientious, and totally committed to complete customer satisfaction! Thanks, Paul! To start, Paul is an absolute gentleman. I needed some work done on my 99 A4 that required a part no longer in production. I called around for quotes with five other shops in the area (dealer included), with A&P being the ONLY ONE to call me back. Paul provided me with honest recommendations, transparent pricing, and even treats for my dog! After swapping out my worn twenty year old driveshaft, my Quattro now rides as it should. I had my car towed to A & P Specialties because the engine light began flashing while on the freeway. Paul was my point of contact. He was helpful and professional. Alan was kind. I have been taking my audi to the guys at A&P Specialist for a couple of years now - and my car has never run better! Most of my visits are just for regular maintenance and that is part of the reason I keep coming back - they don't find "a new big expensive problem" everytime I see them like many other garages. I get excellent! professional! and friendly service! every time and I have grown to really trust them. As a woman it can be very intimidating in this mechanical world, but I have always been treated respectfully and honestly by Paul and Alan and the other men ( I can't remember everyone names right now). This visit I did need a big repair of a fuel pump, and the original quote they had given me changed..and in all honesty I was upset & called Paul backed & he managed me very graciously and generously to appease me. We talked more about it when I picked up the car, and he remained very very generous- but I hope in the end we did come to an agreement that was fair for them also.I have nothing but excellent things to say about everyone at A&P Specialists, especially Paul. A&P Specialties took GREAT care of me, and the work that was done was spectacular! I wasn't sure what was wrong with my car, but they did the most thorough and detailed courtesy inspection of it and let me know exactly what was wrong. I have known Alan for 30 years. I first met him back in 1987 when I owned my first VW Jetta. Whenever it was time for my car to be tuned up or to have maintenance done I took it in. My car "lived" for over 15 years until the transmission dropped out of it. I now own my 2nd VW Jetta GLS and have had it serviced at Alan's shop.
