What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

By paying rapt attention to the underlying shapes and forms which make up your image, your images will stand above the rest.
I pay a lot of attention to my camera's position. Even fractions of an inch (millimeters) can make or break a photograph.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Where Would You Like These Photos to Be Taken?
Is There Anything Specific That You Want Captured?
Is There Any Particular Editing Style You Like?
What is your budget?
How many photos do you need?
What are your expectations from me?
What do you hope to get out of the experience?

What do you love most about your job?

I have always been a people person, so I absolutely love meeting up with my clients and photographing them with their loved ones. I also love developing a relationship with my clients. My clients trust me. They trust me to document their special day – whether it's a wedding or a family portrait. My clients are family.
Also, I love being able to deliver photographs to people to serve as a memory to them for years to come. Whether that be their wedding day, family portrait or lifestyle/headshots, capturing those moments and getting the response afterward of how much they treasure the photos as their memory is without a doubt what I love most. I love getting to help people in that way, and to be able to capture memories for generations to come to look at.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Ahhh man, how do I even begin this(?) My first pregnancy is what truly inspired the spark to my longtime love for taking selfies. I have always wanted a professional camera for as long I can remember but I have been cautious/contemplating about making a big purchase of a professional camera just to take a few selfies. I think I was lowkey always hinting my hubby that I want a professional camera.
I was halfway through my first pregnancy when I was let go from my professional corporate job after notifying my employer about the pregnancy. I had a maternity photoshoot booked for closer to the end of my pregnancy that I cancelled and there I was in my living room creating backdrops and setting up my phone on a tripod that I ordered from amazon a while back just to take my own maternity pictures. I can clearly remember that evening how much I was bugging my hubby to get in my shoot because he wouldn't want to miss this one in a lifetime opportunity hehe. You wouldn't believe the result of my maternity shoot done by me from my old Samsung phone - You know what? head over to my Instagram page @stillzbyleen and scroll all the way down to a 9 squares black/white picture of me sitting on the floor looking over to the side. so ladies and gentlemen I am pretty sure that my husband was like she can do some serious damage iffff....... The rest is a history!!!!!!
Anyways, it was on my birthday just a couple weeks before my delivery date; my hubby gifted me a professional camera. and I was shocked beyond words.
Tadahhhhhh there I was taking pictures and I was telling myself like " Hey, you love helping other and that's what fulfills you at the end of the day so why not just follow this and take it to next level"
