About

I have been working in creating change for corporations and individuals alike since the mid 1980’s, as a clinical hypnotherapist since 1995 and as a professional counsellor and psychotherapist since 2009. I am a level 4 member (most experienced) of the Australian Counselling Association and a clinical member of the Australian Association for Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I am a supervisor for other Counsellors and Hypnotherapists in clinical practice.

My counselling draws on years of clinical experience, training in evidence based therapies and the use of therapeutic techniques to deliver tangible results in the lives of my clients. I use a variety of approaches in my clinic, including: Person-Centred, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psycho-education, Resource Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Brainspotting and Havening and neuroscience concepts in my practice.

I have worked with clients presenting a vast range of concerns, in a variety of diverse settings with adults, adolescents, couples and families. I like to think I am supportive, empathic and collaborative in my approach: which encourages my clients to be relaxed and at ease.

I co-create with my clients an environment to share their issues and concerns: together with respectful insight, we collaboratively develop a range of solutions. With these possible solutions, effective interventions and a results-oriented focus, I seek to empower my clients to achieve their goals, overcome limited behaviours and resolve unfinished business during times of life transition.
