my husband and I got married on the 2nd of September Jude and Pamela have been absolutely amazing they helped me every step of the way with great advice for photos i didnt have a clue what i was doing nothing was to much trouble for them always there for a message and on the day the real magic happened we had bridal prep then went on to a beautiful flower feld before the wedding and mutiple areas in Edzell after It really felt like being out with your best friends we had a blast! You guys have captured every second of our wedding most of the photos I don't even remember being taken they are all so natural and absolutely gorgeous thank you so much you made my day perfect and captured every lovely moment I can't recommend IvyRoad enough to any couple looking for a wedding photographer you won't regret it the love these guys have for their job really shines through on every photo you do. Upon arrival to this place, I was greeted by the feeling of calm and relaxation as I walked through the peaceful gardens and trees. However when I entered the building these feelings disappeared in the blink of an eye and was replaced by discomfort and disgust as the lady behind the counter reluctantly served us. Almost every question we had was responded to with a groan, and sour response. This is upon some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. beautiful setting and food was delicious, however service, especially by one of the older ladies was slow and she was quite rude. my daughter and granddaughter got their hot food quite quickly but we were then left waiting...and waiting. drinks finally came out and on asking where the scones were we were quite rudely advised she only had one set of hands (hmm between 3 servers? ) and excuse me for thinking scones and a brownie might have been quick items More...

very sad to say the first time we visit this place we order coffee and was told they are a bit busy it will take a half an hour we where cool with that and paid . then waiting almost an hour stopping one of the staff same person that took our order to asked her how long we will the coffee be and she just said they are busy after serving people that came after us .then a hour and 10 minutes past we left with no coffee !!! enjoy our money you will see us not again !!! If you are into vintage and delicious home made cakes then The Old Station Teahouse is the place for you. You can drink your coffee or sip your tea on an old floral lounge in the main house or in the shade on the deck under the trees. Whichever you prefer, you will no doubt enjoy the experience. The carrot cake is highly recommended and the ladies who serve you are very friendly. Oh and if you happen to love cats as I do, you can enjoy a chat with resident pensioner Mika. Very pleasant spot. There are dining areas outside under the trees, and also some tables under cover. The menu is limited, but perfect for morning tea, or a light lunch. Staff is very friendly and the grounds are lovely. We came for morning tea, and stayed for lunch and were not made to feel uncomfortable for staying so long. More...

We visited Sunday 29th June and waited 50 minutes for 2 cappuccinos with scones and they were cold!!! I took them back and woman said they had probably been sitting a while, we waited another 10 minutes for fresh ones and they were exactly the same! I took them back and got a refund. We were there an hour!! The woman was so rude, young girls were lovely. We were si disappointed!! Would not recommend. Surely it isn't hard to make HOT coffee!! More...

Great food and coffee BUT a shame that your amenities are not up to the same standards. My 95 year old mother was nearly stuck in the loo and worried that she might fall over because there is no handle to lift yourself up with. Shame that this spoilt her Mother’s Day lunch today. Just had lunch here 09/04/2021 at 1348. We didn't realise the place closes at 2 as we are 'tourists'. The ladies were lovely to serve us lunch even so close to closing. I recommend the home-made beef mince pie was yummy with a mild spice! At 1st I was quite hesitant in coming but glad we made the stop, it's a quiet, quaint place to come and have a bite. My family and I visted the old station tea house twice in one week and got a sticky date pudding, scones and almond and orange cake on the menu along with drinks and coffee, we really did enjoy the food, drinks and the beautiful sorroundings of the place but we found that the customer service let the experience down. Also we found that the menu items that we wanted to order where unavailable as it would be great if the food they had on the menu was ready available everyday. We also noticed that the place needed a general tidy up because it had rotten mangoes lying in piles in the walkway to the main deck area. Overall I would give it 3 stars as it was the customer service that really let the experience down. P.S I would highly reccomend the beautiful scones. More...

My family and I visited The Old Station Tea House on Tuesday. We had scones, sticky date pudding and drinks which was all lovely. However, we noticed that one of the staff members was not very happy, she was grumpy and did not make eye contact at all, therefore it made for unpleasant experience. There was also a rotten smelly pile of mangoes on the path to the main the deck. We went there two days later and the pile of mangoes remained. The service did not improve on our second visit as the same staff member still did not seem like she wanted to be there.There certainly was no service with a smile, that being said we had a young lady on the previous visit and she was cheery. Also on both visits we ordered different things from the menu and items were not available on either days. Overall the food was great and the surroundings are beautiful although it could do with some maintenance and a tidy up. We rate our experiences a solid 3 stars. More...

We have been there a few times now and every time we have observed the local husky growl, bark and nip. Last time we were there it stole our babies sandwich (it was replaced free of charge) and nipped her on the chin and this time although it didn't take our food I watched it growl and bark at a few of the people dining there. We love going there for a quick morning tea the scones are amazing but I'm afraid that there is absolute no trust when it comes to the dog and this it self will stop us from returning. I'm not really even sure how the dog is allowed to be there around food being served as thought this would fall into a hygiene matter let alone a work place health and safety issue if it was to give someone a good bite. Had a family photo shoot a couple of weeks ago and the ladies were fab. So friendly and very welcoming. We got to view our photos a few days later and we just loved them.
