What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
You need to have a photographer with experience, excellent technical knowledge and strong creative flair. Communication is important in understanding exactly what the client requires (even if the client isn't sure what he/she requires)
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Its important to understand what the client needs the images for. If the client requires product images it is important to know what are the products, how/where will the products be sold (Amazon for example has certain image specs), how many products need to be shot and how many images per product are required. Are the images for web use or are they for print? With a video project, it is important to understand the length of the final video, where will it be used, what message needs to be conveyed etc. It is helpful to have some understanding of a clients budget so that services can be tailored for the clients requirements.
