We took some kids here for a martial arts lesson for our vacation care. Instructors were awesome, really friendly and were clear in what they wanted the kids to do. All of our kids had a fantastic time and are begging to come back. They were also nice and worn out afterwards! Bonus! Thanks guys! See you next holidays. More...

My name is Francis Tapim and I've just finished a 33 year stint as an ABC news and Current Affairs Journalist. If you want your children to learn Kung Fu/Martial Arts safely and correctly, look no further than David Kings KMA academy near the Logan Hyperdome. My girls aged 4 and 8 were terrified when I recommended they learn self defence and try out Martial Arts for two weeks. They fought me at home and screamed blue murder for nearly two months. When the day finally came and they completed their first training session with Master King...it was as if they had just been to the Brisbane Ekka for the first time.. My old daughter loves this school so much she is now studying all the disciplines being taught at the school. She started off doing Hapkido but is now doing Brazilian Jujitsu. Tae kwon Do...and MMA kick boxing all at once. The four year old loves KMA just as much but is only allowed to do Little Dragons Tae Kwon Do at this stage. If you have trouble with your children playing on the Ipad Phone or playstation too much give this a try it worked out really well in our house. I did my usual journalistic checks on the school before allowing my children to go there and David and his family of teachers are trustworthy and not connected to any crime syndicates or unsavoury characters in the community. There is no culture of intimidation or bullying at the school as well if your worried about your children being pushed around by bigger children. Its all safe and family friendly.
