Definitive Accounting provides bookkeeping and training services for MYOB, Reckon and Xero.

It's exceptionally important to have a great accountant in your corner as they will ensure that they know your business inside out and help with executive decisions now and in the future.
What do you love most about your job?
I don't class what I do as a job. It gives me great satisfaction in helping clients from crying in my ear in desparation (yes, it's happened) to celebrating with their favourite drink (yes, this too has happened!) Most of my clients have become my extended family whereby we keep in touch not just for business purposes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The last employer maintained that I didn't have an "income producing" role in their business, never mind that I worked extra hours as they were extremely busy and I was it in the office ... so, I thought, why not start my own business!
Why should our clients choose you?
My clients have said that I'm very easy to speak to (please read my webpage), I'm not too proud to admit that if I don't know something, I will go and find out and where possible, I keep abreast of the latest changes in the accounting/tax industry (now, there's something that takes a lot of reading!)

Yes, I can provide my services remotely. My program of choice is TeamViewer so that the client can see exactly what is occurring on their screen with my explanation to go with it.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
From the outset when COVID made its presence known, I insisted on clients wearing masks and sanitising their work spaces, keyboards, mice etc. together with their hands. This also applies when I teach students at the WEA as you can never be too careful. Regardless of whether it's COVID, a cold, the flu or any other contagious illness I mention that they wouldn't be over the moon if they became infected through someone not following the correct procedure.

Bookkeeping for rental properties as well as for shares is also available.
Accredited training - MYOB, Reckon and Xero
Each client has different needs and learning abilities. This is of course taken into account. In order to get the message across, each session has accompanying screen dumps. To further ensure that the message gets across, clients are then given "homework", yes you read right. There is no point in learning something only to put in half an effort in.
