I love dogs and being able to help people create a stronger connection with their pet is my favourite part of the job. Puppy training can be particularly rewarding as well!
I can offer everything from house training a puppy to teaching an adult how to complete an agility course in competition. I specialise in commands and being able to instruct owners on how to handle their pup, as well as teaching them how to better understand their dog. One of the more specialist aspects I train on is separation anxiety.
I believe I offer a great range, including home visits, group sessions, and private one-to-one instructor classes. I’m also happy meeting in a suitable public place such as a dog park. Working with you and your dog, we’ll create a routine that works perfectly.
I have earned qualifications from: the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors, Level 3 CPD Accredited Dog Training, Diploma in Dog Training, and more. I’ve also attended dozens of seminars hosted by leading trainers/behaviourists. I’m a full member of the Guild of Dog Trainers and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

After welcoming our little guy (10 week old English Staffy) we realised that this guy was gonna need some help to settle in. After hours watching YouTube and reading material nothing was helping. The afternoons were becoming a nightmare and leaving my partner and myself stressed. Then in comes Ritz, I must say we were skeptical at the beginning and had set our expectations low as Charlie was clearly lacking something. Ritz entered our home with Charlie at a level 10 hypodrive but when he left he was so chilled out. Turns out what we thought we were doing right by smothering with love was indeed creating behaviours that needed to be stopped. Ritz taught us simple games to play with Charlie and how to crate train him properly as well as working towards toilet training. The following day was the first day we both felt we were able to have a bit of normality. If like us are a little unsure as to if puppy training works, the answer is yes. We are on our way to having a well behaved little guy. (well not little for too long) Thanks Ritz for all your help and your continued support for the next year. 100 percent recommended.

Merran is such a wealth of knowledge. I have watched her with many types of dogs at the park. She shows compassionate care and a non judgemental approach. Her positive attitude shines when she offers responsive care to dogs and attunes to their owners. Highly recommend this business.
