What do you love most about your job?

I love working with people. To really help people with buying and selling homes you can't hide behind a computer. It's about getting to know my clients and helping them achieve their real estate goals, whether that's buying their first home, moving up to a bigger home, down-sizing (or right-sizing) or perhaps investing in real estate to build wealth. My clients become my friends and it is the most fulfilling part of my job.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I worked for many years in broadcasting both as an on-air radio announcer and as an on-air personality and weather anchor for CTV and CTS. After many years it was time to start something new and real estate really appealed to me. Helping people buy and sell real estate is my passion. It's more than a job. It's an opportunity to connect with people.

I am a full-time real estate agent. This isn't just a hobby or something I do "on the side". When I work with my clients they are my priority.
In addition, I am constantly upgrading my skills as the real estate business has been going through rapid change with all of the new technology. I am always learning what's new and best for my clients!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes. Especially now during Covid-19 many people are trying to limit in-person contact. Meetings can definitely be scheduled using Zoom, FaceTime, Skype or any online platform. Also, I provide full electronic signing options so any contract signing can be done remotely.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

In addition to the use of online meeting technology and electronic signing there are a number of changes that have been implemented to ensure safety during Covid-19.
I offer extensive photography and video as well as floor plans and virtual tours so that potential buyers can fully see a property and only physically go to visit the property if they are serious buyers.
I can offer Virtual Open Houses.
For showings, all agents registering to bring buyers to see the home must complete a full, signed Covid-19 disclosure which also provides us with contact tracing ability.
Showings are limited in duration and there are no double bookings/overlapping bookings allowed.
Agents and clients are asked to wear masks and sanitize hands upon entry to the home. They are also asked to refrain from touching surfaces and are not to use washroom facilities.
All signing including closing procedures can be done remotely via electronic signatures.
Retrieval of house keys (for buyers) can be via lockbox with combination provided to the buyers by the lawyer on closing day.
In rare cases, some homes are listed and put on the market with NO showings permitted. In this case potential buyers can make their decision to offer on the home based on the photography, video etc. as well as an external walk-around of the property. Any offer made in this manner would be conditional on the buyer having an in-person visit after their offer is accepted and the buyer finding the property satisfactory.
After the showing process I can provide a disinfecting service for your home using a sanitizing fogger.
