Monica was our wedding photographer in lovely tropical Cairns last October. I found her through Bark and Facebook (a group for weddings in Cairns). Throughout the process of sending quotes and communicating with us, she was very professional and responsive. She was also really patient whilst we took our time with planning and comparing suppliers.
As for the quality of photos, she is talented in being able to take different kinds of wedding photos, depending on what the couple needs. Before the wedding, Monica asked us what types of photos we wanted and we sent her some samples from her portfolio and other photos - and she focused on taking those types of photos! She is quite versatile as a photographer! Amazing!
During the wedding ceremony itself, she was also professional - arrived early at the venue way before the start of the ceremony. She was very lowkey and approachable, no-fuss photographer. We had a Catholic wedding ceremony at St Monica's Cathedral with 24 guests. She was able to take beautiful photos of the church's stained glass and key moments during the ceremony. We especially loved the group photos with family & friends that she patiently took.
We also had bridal photos taken all over Cairns City. Yes, we walked in our wedding clothes in the heat and humidity of Cairns - and Monica was so professional she kept up with us! We randomly had shots taken near lovely buildings like the Cairns City Library and the Cairns Post, as well as Munro Park and the Cairns Fish near the esplanade. She knew where great lighting would be - it was really great and fun! She just allowed us to walk a lot and was patient with our lack of "modelling" skills haha!
After the wedding, it took her only a few days to send us the Gallery with all the photos! I was very happy with the photos and the functionality of the Online Gallery. We could choose our favourites and hide some photos before we shared the Gallery to friends. It was really convenient!!! I didn't have to download ths photos and upload on Facebook or elsewhere. What a relief! 😊
