The team was amazing from the beginning. First time building and they made the experience so much less stressful than I thought. All my ideas were included and even extra things which I didn’t even know I wanted till Cristian suggested them to me. I was impressed with how friendly and professional he was and it’s made moving in and finally living in my new home such an exciting time in my life. The process took a year and a half, throughout which we were forced to regularly and repeatedly chase them over missed deadlines. In the end, the plans were provided months late, exposing us to additional ongoing building sector price increases, causing the final estimate to be more than half a million dollars over budget. This meant we could no longer afford to build our dream home, making the plans completely worthless and a total waste of significant time and money. I cannot begin to truly express our disappointment and the impact this has had on our family. Throughout the process, whenever we raised concerns, they would assure us they were on track to complete our plans on time and within budget. However, deadlines were constantly missed, emails and calls seeking updates were ignored, and multiple revisions failed to include already provided feedback, leading to even more delays. Despite substantive agreement on the design in April 2021, Studio 56 didn’t provide the final plans until the end of October (the invoice said to allow 15 days). This extensive delay left us exposed and vulnerable to ongoing price increases. Studio 56 refused to take any responsibility, and subsequently ceased responding to our efforts seeking a refund. What hurt most of all was being told that at least we could sell the land for a profit – an interesting sentiment from a company offering to design your dream home. More...
