I have been supporting people achieve positive changes in their lives for over 23 years. I started my practice as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and later added Counselling and Psychotherapy to my services.

Over the years I have supported people with a variety of challenges from habits and addictions, diagnosed mental health disorders, relationship issues, grief and loss and so much more.

Q&As

I absolutely love being part of a person's journey of self-development and self empowerment. We all have the ability to change something we are uncomfortable about within ourselves or the world we live in. There are times we will need a little (and sometimes) a lot of support and guidance. I love being a part of that journey and being a witness to your positive changes and happier life.

In my 20's I struggled with becoming as non-smoker and after some sessions of Clinical Hypnotherapy, that was it! I was free! I also noticed other things in my life changing since those sessions, so I thought 'there must be more to this than I realised'. So my journey to understand people; how we think, how we feel, how we do things and why, and even when. And so began what is now my life purpose of personal and professional development journey. As I began to understand more about myself and making my own positive changes, I felt so drawn to sharing what I learnt about humans with others. After I started working with people, I realised I was really good at it. So I learnt more, studies more. I immersed and committed myself to supporting and guiding others to make their own positive changes and live a life they choose, not one of circumstances. I then studied various approaches compatible within Clinical Hypnotherapy. But that wasn't enough, so I completed my Bach of Counselling and now I offer even more approaches and practices to suit the individual's needs and situation.

Every therapist has something to offer the right person, because what works for one may not work for another. I have been in practice for almost 25 years and what I bring to the sessions are my professional experiences, formal training and education, as well as personal life experience. Like any human living on this planet I've had many different and often complex experiences much like everyone else. This allows me to relate to you and your situation in some way, but obviously different, because your experience is yours and not the same as another.

I am also very empathic, intuitive and creative. These allow me to work with you with a more whole-being approach, rather than just left brain analytical and technical text book approaches. I work with you and your uniqueness in supporting and guiding you in making your positive changes.

One thing to point out with therapy, is that if you don't 'click and connect' with your therapist, you have every right, and more importantly, an obligation to yourself to change therapist. Ultimately you need to be the centre of the universe, yes it is all about you while in session!

Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as Clinical Hypnotherapy has been conducted remotely and in different formats for a number of years, with an overall success. Now with video streaming, it is even better.

There are aways individual preferences when it comes online verses face-to-face. There are always pros and cons. Some people need to be out of their comfort zone (usually home) and go to a therapist's office, while others feel safer talking about themselves in their home or other safe space. Some people just don't live near a clinic and remote therapy is their only option, while others have time constraints/limitations and obligations so video streaming saves time and sometimes money.

I offer video streaming on Zoom and Teams platforms as well as phone counselling.

As COVID is still present in the community, I wipe down all surfaces between clients. I offer clients masks if they choose to wear it and if they ask me to wear one, I am happy oblige.

Hand sanitiser is also available in the consultation room.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are forms of talk therapy that aim to help us overcome difficulties and challenges that we face, whether it's just the daily struggles of life, something from the past, or both.

Counselling typically focuses on specific issues and short-term goals, while Psychotherapy is a longer-term process that aims to address the deeper, underlying issues. Both Counselling and Psychotherapy are both Person Centred and Humanistic approaches. This means that the client leads and directs the process while the therapist provides support and guidance in a safe and confidential space.

Both approaches recognise that every person is the expert of their own lives and together with the therapist, use different approaches, theories, evidence based practices, explorative practices and experiments, to unfold, unpack and create the changes you desire, in the way that works best for you.

Firstly, Clinical Hypnotherapy is not a magic wand that miraculously changes our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is therapy! There are a variety of approaches (just as in any therapy) that are used in both waking and deep trance to support the subconscious mind to make the changes the conscious mind can't seem to make on its own.

The mind is like an iceburg, with the analytical-thinking conscious mind being only the small part at the top. Clinical Hypnotherapy bypasses the conscious mind when it is relaxed in trance and works directly with the feeling and memory subconsciousn mind which holds our experiences. Yep... that's a lot of stuff; the good, the bad and the ugly!

Clinical Hypnotherapy uses your own inner wisdom, knowing and values to resolve the 'glitch' that limits your conscious mind from making the changes itself.

Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions are just like any other therapy sessions. It starts with knowing you are in a safe, supportive confidential space, then getting to know each other, understanding the issue, and your goal/desired outcome. The most appropriate approaches are then used to create your desired change and resolving the issue at its core level.

Clinical Hypnotherapy can work with any (well... almost) that you want to change, improve or create. Therapy can help with a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to:
