We loved having Alex photograph our wedding. From our initial FaceTime chat we knew he would be a relaxed and comfortable addition to the day and not create any stress. He was organised in the lead up and was so sweet to send us an email in the days prior to allay any worries we might have about the forecast rain. On the day the rain was monumental (the most rain in 30 years!) but Alex made it fun, didn’t stress and captured some beautiful shots that we will treasure. We got some beautiful sneak peeks just a day or so later and then our whole album of gorgeous images a few weeks later. Thanks Alex! More...

My Husband and I had the good fortune of having Alex Olguin photograph our recent wedding in the Hunter Valley and we couldn't be more stoked with our photos and to have had Alex as part of our day. When we got our album back, we were honestly blown away. We obviously knew Alex's work was incredible (hence booking him), but it is one thing to see amazing photos of other people, and an entirely different thing to see ourselves in the stunning shots. From the artistic way everything is capture and put together, to the tones and depth in every photo and the sheer emotion Alex captured over the day, we were genuinely blown away by the photos. I am absolutely obsessed - I find myself constantly looking through them over and over, with the biggest smile on my face. They really do bring back so many beautiful memories to relive the day. Alex is talented beyond words abut not only that, he is such a genuine and easy going person who brought nothing but good vibes to our day. We can't have a imagined a more natural fit for a photographer for us. Having Alex spend the day with our family and friends was nothing short of a pleasure. For me, choosing a wedding photographer was one of the hardest parts of the planning process. Your wedding photos are the ONE thing you get to keep from the day and there are thousands upon thousands of photographers out there. It can be so overwhelming. I had a very clear idea of the style I wanted for our wedding photos - I didn't want anything too posed/unnatural/over-edited, but at the same time I didn't want something so casual it didn't feel like wedding photos anymore. I spent genuinely months agonising over photographers. But then I came across Olguin Photography on Instagram and was immediately drawn to Alex's photos. Within the week, we had meet Alex via a skype call and locked him in without hesitation. I should also mention that not only was the quality of our photos out of this world, but the speed with which Alex got them back to us was absolutely phenomenal. We had an incredible collection of sneak peeks in less than 24 hours of the weeding and our entire album within 3 weeks. I do not know a single person whose wedding photographer has achieved that sort of turn around. This testament to how passionate Alex is about what he does. I could write a book at the rate I am going, but to sum it up, thank you, Alex, from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the most perfect images to remember the greatest day of our lives. What a wild ride! Alex is the professional, approachable, caring and focused photographer you need in your life immediately. From our first meetings over FaceTime to our last shots on the dance floor, my wife and I were impressed again and again by how comfortable Alex made us feel with his ability to not only make our wedding shoot effortless, but make it incredibly fun - energised by Alex and his aptitude with the camera. Our wedding was cancelled due to COVID-19, so we were left with no choice but to elope to a private ceremony in the Kangaroo Valley at our AirBnB. Alex was flexible at every turn - when our plans changed, he was all in - no matter how unconventional. Alex directed us gently and was able to capture some beautifully framed and well lit shots, capturing not only our love for each other but the surrounding beauty of the place we were in. We found Alex on a blog post of top 10 photographers, and they ended up being one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding. From the start Alex was kind and helpful, answering any questions we had and putting us at ease during the planning process. On the day, it felt like he was just another guest and friend. We had a very small wedding and he seamlessly fit in, but always seemed to be there to capture the perfect moment. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and encouraged us to have fun with each other, which made it all much less nerve wracking. We received sneak peek photos barely 24 hours after everything wrapped up, and we're blown away by how amazing they were, so much more then we imagined. Alex is amazing!!! Dan and I feel so lucky to have had Alex photograph our wedding day. Dan doesn’t particularly like having his photo taken, but Alex made us feel so comfortable and added to the joy and fun nature of the day which made us both love the experience. The photos Alex captures speak volumes to his talent and passion but its makes even better having such a chilled, fun and friendly person behind the camera and with you on the day. Alex recently shot my wife Sharna Lily Chapman and I's wedding at Driftwood Shed. and we could not be happier! Everything was so seamless and smooth right from our very first skype call with him! We ran ideas past him, plenty of questions and got a lot of really good advice about all aspects of our wedding, not just the photography. Alex was also extremely helpful in the lead up, making sure we were all on track and that we knew exactly what was going on. Having Alex around on the day was like having your best mate shoot your wedding. It was always fun, comfortable and you always felt like no matter what you were in good hands. His lead and direction was not pushy and he had so many incredible ideas that have turned into the most amazing photos! Alex’s passion for wedding photography is unmissable as he runs around, taking every piece of his surrounds in, looking for the perfect shots. He gets genuinely excited about some of the shots he’s about to take! One of the most impressive things was that Alex had around 30 sneak peek photos ready and sent to us the next day for us to post to our socials and show friends and family! Thank you so much Alex for not only creating the most beautiful and artistic photos we could have hoped for, but also making us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. Alex was reassuring throughout the process and was visibly excited for us. We were a bit nervous about having our photos taken but Alex ensured the process was enjoyable. There are many important decisions to be made whilst planning your dream wedding. Finding the perfect photographer is one of them, if not the most important one. We short listed a few photographers, visited their websites and reviewed their portfolios. After visiting the fourth or fifth website..they start to blend into one but there was something special about ONE of these photographers..and voila we stumbled upon Olguin Photography! Alex is an amazing person. He is professional, calm and passionate about his work. He made us feel at ease with his presence and captured REALLY stunning photos of our special day. We chose Olguin Photography because his photos are truly a work of art - and that is reflected in his portfolios. To find the words to say about Alex, Cassandra and their team is just so difficult. They were an absolute dream to work with in the lead up to the wedding. On the 3 days of a big indian wedding (their first I might add - which they totally smashed), they made the days feel so comfortable and relaxed, and there was never a moment that we felt awkward, stressed or uncomfortable (a big thing for two people who are always both very awkward at the best of times). They had raving reviews from all our guests of how attentive and easy to be around they were. While we already left the wedding thinking we had the best wedding photographers ever, its amazing to receive your photos just 2 weeks after the wedding and the photos... We still cannot get over how the photos are nothing short of incredible. They truly have a talent to frame photos and use light to truly make each photo they take capture so much of the snapshot in time they capture. We are so thankful to their team and while the wedding went so fast and felt like a dream, to have amazing photos like the ones they have captured allow us to relive the three most amazing days of our lives for the rest of our lives, from perspectives we did not even see on the day. They really captured the joy, excitement and emotion as well as capturing all the details of the venue. Everyone we have showed our photos to so far have said how incredible they have turned out and really do not think we could have chosen anyone better to capture our wedding. Alex is amazing! He photographed our wedding and we cannot recommend him enough. His energy on the day was so relaxed, easy and pleasant. He was never bossy or intrusive in the way that he worked. The process felt natural, easy and never staged or forced. He is a master of blending in whilst capturing the most delicate and fun moments and putting them on stage.
