About

Hi, I'm Mark :) For over 12 years I’ve been creating images of people, capturing the mood, attitude and essence of an individual; preserving that aesthetic and feeling for future observation.
I create for a range of clients, but my specialties are Corporate Headshots and Fashion (ecommerce especially).

Mark is brilliant at relaxing those having a photography session with him in groups large or small, and his results speak for themselves

Q&As

The secret to taking a great photograph of people is rapport. Half my job as a photographer is to make my subjects comfortable and confident enough to show me their real selves. The REAL you always makes the best photograph.
This answer assumes, of course, that all the technical elements of lighting and composition are already correct :)

How will the images be used?
This is the most important question for understanding the brief. If I know what you intend to achieve with the images then I am most of the way to knowing how to create the images you need.

I love genuinely connecting with my subjects. Professionally, I find the best way to reveal true personality is through conversation and banter. But the reason for my conversation is more selfish than that, I just truly love chatting to people and learning about their lives :)

Such a salesy question, and I'm not good at this hard-sell stuff, so I'll keep my advice generic. You should choose a photographer who has a great portfolio. Don't assume someone can create something that you haven't seen in their portfolio. Choose someone you think is competent enough to get the technicals right, and caring enough to get the extra X-factor for you.
I hope you think that person is me :)

Services

Is your image dark and brooding or bright and friendly? Is it something specific to your profession or should it look generically appealing? It’s important to think about how you see yourself and how you want your customers to perceive you. Would it be better to appear powerful and aloof or would your clients respond better to personable and smiley? Only you know for sure, but we can help achieve whichever corporate image you would like to portray.

If you’re running a fashion ecommerce website, it’s essential to have great images that showcase your products in the best light. That’s where I come in. An ecommerce and fashion photographer based in Melbourne, I have over 12 years of experience in creating stunning images that sell. I know how to make garments look their best, whether they’re captured in natural light or in a studio setting. I also understand the importance of having a consistent visual style across all your images. This is especially important if you’re selling on an ecommerce website, as it helps create a cohesive shopping experience for customers.
