Just knowing that so many people are struggling with mental health in the community, I wanted to set up my own business to respond.

I am passionate about counselling and I not only bring a wealth of knowledge/skills in many fields of counselling, I also bring rich life experiences.
I have a background in nursing which keeps me grounded with a warm
friendly personlity!

I will help you to understand your anxiety, work with ways to calm the nervous system and build strategies to help you deal with the overwhelming discomfort of anxiety as you move forward.

Sometimes we get stuck just trying to manage our relationship with others.
I will help you to explore what is going on, look at ways to effectively communicate and think about boundaries as we connect with people in our lives.

When we are unable to cope with emotional pain our minds and bodies collapse. We lose motivation and just often feel numb. I will work with you to understand what is happening to you, and suport you to find ways to reconnect with things in life which bring you joy.

When we lose a love one, the pain of grief can be all consuming, but often we just don’t know what to do with the ongoing waves of despair and sadness.
I will support you through the grieving process, allowing you all the time you need to deal with your loss. Sometimes just having that safe space can be a great source of comfort.

Sometimes when our nervous system is hijacked by stress, we often react angrily in situations. I will help you to be more aware of how our nervous system responds, learn techniques to bring you back into a calmer state, look behind the anger and support you to respond rather react in triggering situations.

The harrowing impact of Trauma, no matter when it occurred, can creep into our lives , effecting our relationships, our mood, our health and can cause PTSD.
Modern therapy for trauma looks at the present, finding ways to cope with life now, acknowledging the past but learning to self regulate when emotions become overwhelming.
