Fantastic wedding venue. Great venue, great staff and great food.

Excellent value for money. Having the reception and ceremony at the same venue eliminated transport costs. The venue already boasts stunning décor and ambience, keeping the floral and other décor costs down. The photogenic venue and being so close to some gorgeous views maximised our photography expense. Being allowed to BYO 3 types of spirits helped us manage our food and beverage package costs. With Jasmine's pre-planning help and Georgia's event management on the day, we didn't need to spend any money on an event planner.

Gunners' staff really helped make our wedding day beyond wonderful. We wanted our wedding to be FUN, and they helped us achieve that, proven by the fact that most of our photos are of people smiling and/or laughing. We held a family memorial event in the dining room at Gunners Barracks. Hayley helped us organize this event from the UK (where we are based) and she was exemplary throughout. Very helpful and clear with our options and adaptable as our requirements changed. The event ran result smoothly and everyone commented what a nice venue and event it was. Gunners Barracks was a perfect venue for our wedding! The views and surrounding areas were perfect for wedding photos. The food and drinks were superb! Very tasty and a big hit with every one! First. Extremely disappointing service. We had our wedding originally booked for late June 2020 when COVID hit. Management said they were doing us a favour by allowing us to move the date a year out to 2021. However, when the date was coming near Sydney went into restrictions again. So calling management to move the date again, they refused and said we either go ahead on that day with no one in attendance including us or given the ultimatum we can cancel and forfeit our deposit in full. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the level of help and support which is clearly non existent and only self interest in their part. We decided not to ruin an occasion which was dear to our hearts with the taste of bad service in our mouths. We were thinking of our family and friends and their health and safety. Because of this we forfeited all of our deposit with zero understanding of customer support, service or willingness to assist in making our day an amazing time. If you are in the business of running a wedding venue then you could have the conscious understanding that this is an amazing day for the individuals that choose to have that day at a location such as gunner barracks. However it appears and our experience would confirm that all they’re interested in is sales. More...

We went in mid august for high tea and found their food was quite dry particularly their scones. Their windows were also quite dusty and considering their view is spectacular they could certainly do a better job. Also notice patrons just walking in without registering their QR codes, which was a concern. They have lost their charm a bit, it was an awesome place to go years ago but attention to detail is lacking. More...
