There was a headstone in the local cemetery that always fascinated me as a child - it was something about the name. Years later, my grandfather, with his brother and sister, organised a family reunion. They printed a brief, but interesting family group sheet for each family branch. I was so surprised to see that their grandmother was the person belonging to the headstone I used to stare at all those years ago. I needed to learn more.

I have been researching genealogy, my own and that of others, since the mid 1990s. I compiled my first book in 2000 and sold it to family members worldwide.

Genealogy is a passion and obsession - finding the story behind the man that built houses in 1870s Somerset; finding the AIF soldier in WWI lied about his age to sign up with his brothers; the convict who stole a pair of shoes and ended up in Tasmania to become a wealthy and repected landowner... it is all so very interesting to me.
