Even during a power outage the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was fantastic and well presented. Also having live music was a great addition, would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Terrible let down, we booked to take guests from Uk to experience the singing chef and the wonderful atmosphere that this place used to have
We called twice during the day to confirm that the entertainment would be on
Spoke to Lee who assured us that yes there would be
On arrival the place was almost empty , which anyone who used to go when David owned it would know that this was never the case
We waited ages to be served a very poor over priced menu , I spoke with Lee regarding the lack of entertainment , to be told that he never said that any staff would be singing … absolute lies as we would have cancelled when we called him and gone elsewhere ,
When the food eventually arrived it was appalling
No sauce on my creamy sauce pasta , and another of the meals was still frozen
Absolute waste of both time and money
Steer clear if you are expecting value for money and a good night out More...

One gets best view and super best food… what an authentic Italian restaurant… loved everything bite of what i ate and the even the cocktails were the yummiest i have ever tried in australia… very much recommended.

I had my Gf birthday there. It was a great night. words can't tell how much the manager and staff were nice and welcoming.

We really enjoyed and they made a memorable night for us.

beside, the food was fantastic. we ordered Steak and Baramandi which both were perfect.

Friends recommended this restaurant, so we booked for our anniversary tonight, which was noted on the booking. We left feeling completely unimportant, they took too long to serve, clear and offer dessert menus so we came home without. My Husband approached staff twice.
Although the food was great and the young female waitress was friendly, the manager couldn't care less if we were there or not. Came home upset as I felt like I ruined our night by choosing this restaurant. Too late to find somewhere else for dessert, and missed our movie.
Hope the young couple and larger groups enjoyed their night, as they seemed to get served More...

No longer owned or operated by David, no atmosphere..had we known before hand when we booked a month ago that this was changed we would have gone elsewhere. Salsa music was terrible and the place looks run down. Although I must say the Food was amazing, compliments to the chef… the young singer who was playing piano when we arrived was good and should have kept playing. Overall we were very disappointed as we had booked with friends for the singing chef experience… what a let down. More...

Disgraceful - service was terrible took over 1 hour for the entree. We booked inside get there to tell us we are outside and have 2 terrible choices for inside near loud kitchen. Pianist/singer was way too loud and not authentic Italian, could not hear my friends talking - worst bruschetta I have ever had it was embarrassing to be placed on the table. Not authentic Italian food- I have never encountered such a terrible representation of Italy. Don’t get me started with the service - we weren’t looked after at all. I brought girlfriends for a girls night and was totally embarrassed and kept telling them I’m so sorry about this. Shame on you guys for a bloody awful night and for ignoring your customers to the point that we couldn’t wait to leave. More...

What a wonderful night. Beautiful location and the food and service was amazing. Highly recommend the Arancini balls for entree!
Staff was efficient and ensured we were never left wanting for anything, but they were not intrusive.
Highlight was being greeted on our arrival by staff waiting at the top of the stairs. A nice touch to feel like they were waiting specifically for us to arrive.
Obviously a team well led by Sheraz. Thank you for such a lovely experience! Can't wait to return! More...

What an experience and a great gem to find! Our meals were delicious and presented so well! However, the best part of the experience was the talented Singing Chef David De Vito himself and the very talented singing waitress Tabitha (aka future celebrity opera and Broadway star ⭐️ ! !!) The amazing duo made our tummies full of yummy food, made us cry from their angelic operatic performance and made us laugh with their quirky and down to earth personalities. I highly recommend this rare experience in any restaurant we’ve ever been! Sure going to be missed
My wife & I had the pleasure of dining at DeVito’s Waterfront Restaurant Sunday night, and what an amazing night it was. The food was superb, as was the wine pairing… and the cocktails! But the absolute highlight of the night was the incredible singing performances of the staff, led by the Singing Chef himself, David Devito. David is a world class vocalist, performing everything from Opera to Rock with amazing passion. His staff were also very impressive, not only as efficient, friendly waiters, but also as extremely talented singers in their own right.
Sadly, this was their last night, as David has sold the restaurant, but we look forward to following him and his next adventures, as someone of his calibre won’t be idol for long. More...

Dr Vito"s is a hidden gem tucked on the banks of Southport. Service is amazing from everyone, food comes out quickly and everything we ordered was bloody delicious. And then you get a show worthy of a grand arena. Lots of the workers sing with De Vito and everyone has the most beautiful voices. It really felt like I was at a big Italian family dinner.
