Doreen
My name is Amy and I'm the creative director at Creative Vixen. I've been designing around 8 years, doing a range of basic marketing collateral, magazine advertisements, logo, branding, corporate and social stationery designs.
I have been in business for 7 years but also working with a high end Australian gift packaging wholesaler where I was the internal graphic designer and marketing assistant.

Describe your creative process.
I always start by finding out what you want and your vision for the design, what you'll be using the design for (i.e signage, internal use, external use, stationery etc), and what your business is about. To ensure that I have an understanding of your requirements, I provide you with a creative brief/scope to confirm your visions and requirements.
I research competitors and other companies in the same or similar industry/s to see how I can make your design stand out. I sketch out designs before I put them in the computer - a bit like a brain dump basically.
From there, I put together a small handful of concepts for you to choose. With any feedback and critique, I make revisions and then send through the final drafts to lock them off.
I have a really easy and simple process, because who has time for complicated things. right?

What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to solve the client's design problem. I love being able to let out my creativity and share it with other people who then can and will share amongst their people. I love that every job is different and every job I'm learning new things. You can never stop learning to better not only your business, but yourself!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Arts and crafts are in my blood, starting from my Nanna down to my Mum and then down to me. I love creating things with my hands, drawing, painting and the likes. During highschool, I completed a VET subject through Kangan TAFE - Multimedia. It was from there that I found an interest in graphic design. I had a dream that I wanted to own and run a business and a design studio in the future. So a couple of years into my Diploma of Graphic Design I just bit the bullet and started my business - ASV Designs (2013)
In 2017, I decided I wanted to re-brand the business to something a bit more brighter, and more "me". With the help of my fiance, we came up with the name Creative Vixen, as you see today. 2018, I launched my new brand with new services including some handmade crafts.
You could say that I am living my dream now, and when you see my work, you can see the passion behind it. I hold each design close to my heart and I'm very proud of all the work I do.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm passionate about my work, and won't be happy until my client is happy. I don't stop until it's perfect. I'm qualified, I provide quality and value.
