I cannot confirm if the food tastes authentic as I don't have Sri Lanka food often, but I really enjoyed the food. We had the buffet which included up to 12 dishes and sides plus desserts. The chicken parmi my friend ordered was burnt on the bottom and sides, and we had to return it. They brought out a second one, and it was very dry. My paneer curry was watery and very sour, more like a soup. The paneer bites were far from their menu description, and the Godamba Roti, which they claimed to be fresh, was rubbery and defiantly frozen. There was also an unpleasant smell in the area where we were seated. We couldn't finish our food and went to a different restaurant for a proper meal afterwards. I took a container home not wanting to waste food but ended up chucking it out. Asked to order vegetable curry,was asked potatoe? Agreed thinking that was the main vegetable curry, and it would be a nice potatoe curry was disappointed as it was like spiced potatoes (very hot) was not told of the spiciness of food,very dry and only half filled container. Also ordered lamb curry, again was just lamb in curry sauce,no vegetables and no warning of spiciness. Disappointed in whole meal,after hearing that spice garden had an excellent takeaway menu. I had a steak the first time going here as I was unsure about the other dishes they offered. The steak was one of the best I have had in a long time. (I do wish they had but a bit of salad with my streak) Me and my wife like it so much We booked in for the Thursday night banquet and was not disappointed. When they first started they only served Sri Lankan food, with a lot of different curry varieties, but after a while they serve less variety of curry, and have some bar food, steak, etc. The food is nice overall although the price is more pricey than other places selling similar Sri Lankan food.
