How Experts in their Industry see the Numbers Differently
When I met Cindy, Sunbury Automatics and Mechanical was already a successful business. Yet, somehow, I was still feeling I had to be there all the time and couldn’t see an end in sight. I felt I had to show up every day, make sure staff were doing what’s required and take care of all the little jobs that make a business tick over. We already had some systems in place but I knew there were holes in them and just couldn’t find the time to fix them. Because of all that, I knew we weren’t making the profits I thought we could.

Getting Serious About Your Business
I was struggling with cash flow, time management and just surviving in business. I was enjoying what I was doing but the problem was – I was doing it all! Due to all that was going on, I wasn’t prioritising work effectively and delegation was an unknown concept to me. It got to the point where I just needed help.

That first conversation with Cindy enabled me to see the possibilities immediately. She gently opened my eyes and we outlined a plan and specific goals. It’s unbelievable to think that was only 6 months ago. Since then, we’ve quadrupled our sales, we’re finally responding to clients in a timely manner, our growth has gone through the roof and I’m confident I’m doing the right things now. For the first five years in my business I was behaving like an employee. I was always doing, never leading. My communication style was overly direct so I had trouble building loyalty and trust with staff. I judged them harshly and struggled to suppress my emotions when communicating with them.

It was a frustrating time for me. I was putting in so much effort but not yielding the results I felt I deserved. It was so frustrating that one day it reached a point where I knew something had to change.
