I worked on Nutrition Mapping with Elise. She was exceptionally organised and flexible, providing a realistic timeline and clear instructions for the pre-session tasks. I felt at ease sharing from the outset of our phone call. Elise tailored the session to my personal goals and needs and was totally non-judgemental. The resources provided were fantastic—clearly structured and easy to follow. The post-session option to ask questions and Elise's encouraging feedback on my progress were so appreciated. Implementing the suggested changes has noticeably improved my energy levels and exercise recovery over the past 5 weeks. The achievable adjustments continue to yield positive results, and I look forward to further progress as I fully embrace these changes. I recently completed a breath work course led by Elise and found it a beautiful way to start the day! It was a short and manageable chunk of time (approx. 20 minutes) at the start of the day and gave me a chance to slow down and actually relax. During the course I found myself bringing my attention to how I was breathing throughout the day, and incorporating some of the tips we learnt as well. I have had the pleasure of Elise's expertise in personal training since July 2022. Prior to meeting Elise I think the longest I had ever managed to stay at a gym was around 3 months! Elise's personalised and caring approach now has me enjoying regular weekly workouts that are fun and something I want to do rather than feel I should do. Elise was my coach last year, and she did a fantastic job. I remember the first session I had with her was an hour training, but before the training started, she provided me with an hour of consultation. It was incredibly helpful as we discussed various questions to clarify my fitness goals. Elise is a great listener, especially for someone new to using gym facilities. We also discussed strategies for becoming healthier and achieving a stronger body. Throughout our training sessions, I consistently felt improvement with each session. I have to say that she is very good at her job and very helpful in finding the best way to improve yourself. She is not only a coach but also a great friend to talk to! More...

Q&As

Nutrition is a huge part of the picture. Our physical and mental well-being can't be optimal if we are not nourishing ourselves properly. Nutrition supports our energy, mood, performance, sleep, training outcomes and so much more. So it impacts out quality of life as much as our health span and lifespan.

It's one of the reasons I love my job seeing the huge impact small changes can make when people are nourishing their bodies and minds in the best way.

By taking a personalised approach firstly as there isn't a one-size-fits-all when it comes to training and nutrition. I also make sure clients feel supported, heard and understood and that we are working collaboratively to find the best path- this means they build life-long skills rather than just following the advice I give. I want them to be empowered it's how you get the most lasting results!

There is a lot of noise in the fitness world so I help clients achieve their goals by cutting through that and making sure we are working from scientifically backed and evidence-based training and nutrition protocols.

I love seeing people realise how much more you can get from life when you are taking better care of your body and mind. It unlocks huge potential for my clients. Yes they see the benefits of a longer, healthier life but they also see how much better they feel right here and now. I want to coach people in a way that means they no longer need me one day and have all they need themselves to keep flourishing and thriving on their own.

So that for me is the best part of this job- seeing people be healthier, happier and getting more from life.

I was tired or seeing the same messaging around weight loss and diets and nothing around how nourishing and amazing food and movement are for our bodies. I wanted to create a safe and non-judgmental space where people could build a better relationship with themselves, their bodies and with food and exercise.

They are not just tools to change how our bodies look- they are incredibly powerful ways to change how we FEEL. To help us show up in the world as the best version of ourselves, to have the energy we need to achieve our goals, to life life more fully and to live life being as healthy as we can for as long as we can.

If you're looking for someone who will support you and guide you in build healthy habits and strong foundations for your health and well-being so you can really thrive then I am the coach for you.

I take a holistic approach to my coaching appreciating that our nutrition and exercise choices are not made in isolation but in the context of our lives. So by looking at the whole health of the client- not just the one area- we can really make change and start to see positive results. If a client is super stressed, busy and not sleeping I don't throw 50 hard changes at the person and give them strict tasks of counting calories and macros or a super tough exercise program- that's not helping someone change that adding to the overwhelm! Instead, we take small but powerful steps forward layering on changes to build healthy foundations. This gives sustainable and lasting results.

My nutrition coaching is all online. Personal Training is online too or I currently work in two gyms doing in-person (Koha Fitness and The Wells Studio both in Christchurch) so can do sessions in either of those facilities for those located nearby.

Nourish and Restore will give you a step by step of how to achieve better well-being by nourishing your body and mind through nutrition, movement and mindful practices. It’s designed to get you to a more energised, balanced and healthier you in just 12 weeks so that you can wake up each day with a full cup ready to do more of what matters most. This is for you if want to build strong foundations, healthy habits & gain life long skills to keep you thriving and flourishing.

Best suited for those wanting to make real, lasting and impactful change by build strong foundations. Nourish & Restore gives a much higher level of support and accountability between sessions than Nutrition Coaching alone.

I create personalised sessions designed specifically for your unique goals, likes and what equipment you have available.

I work with all levels so whether you're new to working out or have gym experience we can get you to your goals with enjoyable workouts that get you to your goals!

I can also create personalised programs for outside our sessions on my easy-to-follow app with videos and explanations of exercise and clear guidance each step of the way.
