Laura has been amazing from our first meeting (where she had written an adorable welcome sign for my fiancé and I), to our engagement shoot, all the way through to us changing the country that our wedding would take place in. There were other photographers whose photos we liked, but after looking at what felt like hundreds of wedding photographers, we were both in agreement that Laura’s photos stood out from the rest. The comment that we both had was that her photos are not only beautiful, they are “genuine”. They show genuine emotions of the day and not only don’t feel staged or cookie cutter, but they really capture the emotion of the day. Although, our wedding day is not for a few months, I can say that after working with her for our engagement photos and seeing the final results, we were not disappointed. They are better than I expected and we even got a teaser within an hour of being home from the shoot! Regardless of her clear technical ability, her personality and fun attitude is reason enough to work with her. If you follow Laura on social media (make sure you follow all three of her accounts), you know that while she takes her job seriously, she doesn’t take herself too seriously, which makes for a very comfortable environment. Prior to our engagement shoot, my fiancé mentioned to me that the one part of our Wedding he was dreading was the photos. He was worried about feeling awkward, or not knowing what to do, but in the matter of one evening, he was asking when we could do another photoshoot. Laura walks her couple through the session and despite the large number of weddings she has photographed, always makes you feel as though your wedding is important to her. My fiance and I were a little nervous walking into our engagement shoot to start. Looking at all of Laura's past work, well it's just incredible! There is truly no one like Laura Kelly. I was lucky to have Laura photograph my destination wedding and lifestyle newborn shoot and each time I am just blown away her work. My husband and I are both shy in front of the camera and Laura always manages to get these perfectly candid photos that make it look like we know what we are doing. Our wedding is coming up soon and we have had the most positive and wonderful experience with Laura so far! We had such a great first impression chatting over coffee and knew we were in good hands. And it's been that way since. Our engagement session was such a blast, it made us even more excited for our wedding party to share in the fun. Not only is Laura an incredible photographer, who truly knows her art form and style, but her kind and warm demeanor makes her the easiest to work with. From our first meeting, I knew that we just clicked.Ahead of our engagement photos, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to maintain authentic smiles and carry ourselves naturally (1 hour is a long time to smile!), but Laura made it feel like the most natural and easy going experience. I was a little worried going into our engagement shoot as I had never had professional photos taken (and I'm a little awkward) but Laura made us feel SO comfortable and was a really great teacher. The photos look so natural and not too posed which is exactly what we wanted. Laura Kelly was an absolute dream to work with. We first met Laura two years ago when she captured my brother and sister-in-law's wedding. We knew at that moment, we needed to have her when it was our turn to tie the knot! When we got engaged, I reached out to Laura and we set up a consultation appointment with her. We knew we were in good hands based off her vast range of experience and confidence in her work. Laura's talent is unlike any other photographer. The way she shoots is so fun, relaxed and really captures organic & candid moments. 5 stars doesn't begin to explain how amazing our experience was with Laura Kelly! We knew from the beginning, photography was one of the most important pieces of our wedding. When we stumbled upon Laura's blog, there was no question, we needed her and were so happy once we booked!From the very beginning, we were treated as friends and not just clients. I could have never expected to be treated so well by our photographer. We were so comforted by her friendly demeanour & couldn't wait for the wedding day with her!We did end up making many, many changes to our wedding. We initially booked a big wedding, then changed venue, then changed reception location and more. We finally settled on a small, intimate wedding with 8 guests. Throughout all the changes, Laura was so supportive! We were so excited to have our entire collection of wedding photos in such a short time. The best part was getting to see a photo the very next day! She captured photos which showed so much emotion. To say that photography was an important part of our wedding would be an understatement (we booked it immediately after securing a date/venue! ). After we met with Laura, we knew we had found our photographer. Not only was she extremely personable and easy to talk to when we first met, her pictures spoke for themselves. Laura absolutely has a creative gift that she can capture any given moment and make it look beautiful and special. Anyone who has planned a large event, like a wedding, knows how much time, effort, and sometimes stress comes with it. I can confidently say that once we had officially booked Laura as our photographer, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that we would be in good hands. Laura’s gorgeous photos speak for themselves. She so easily captures the best of every couple, letting pure love and happiness shine through in her pictures. I first met Laura over three years ago when she photographed my friend’s wedding. From the moment I met her and saw her work, I knew I had to have her for my own wedding! Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with her multiple times (for two mini sessions and our engagement photos) and she’ll shoot our wedding next summer. I have experience with Laura on several projects: my parents wedding, my own engagement and wedding, and one of my bridesmaids (turned Laura Kelly bride) weddings. I have been following her work for a few years now, admiring every session she does. She regularly uploads her sessions to share, blog posts of photography related things and about her personal family life which is fun to read and stay in touch. On my wedding day she was punctual, organized, friendly and calm. She was very professional in her attire, and the way she approached the bridal party. Her photos were really fun to be a part of... creative and unique poses that really capture the candid moments perfectly. As a business woman myself, I understand her time is valuable and I respect her business model and the way she runs it. She gets to know her bride and groom with any detail she can so she can tailor those photos as best she can to capture the couple appropriately in either props, or how she writes about them in the blog or even because he loves her smile - so she'll take a photo of her smile to always remind him of it (for example).Overall I highly recommend Laura. She is a wonderful woman, she has worked extremely hard on her business - and deserves every bit of success she's had from it. I have had the pleasure of being photographed by Laura three times and the photos have always been incredible. I have always felt really comfortable in front of her camera and beautiful after seeing the final products.
