I’ve always thought that working with an interior designer was exclusive to million-dollar luxury properties and that I would never need to hire one. Cut to us looking to re-decorate our home ourselves after becoming empty nesters. We bought a few furniture pieces that we returned because one was too big for the room, the others didn’t match style-wise like we thought they would. Needless to say, it was a mess. We basically ended up at square one. My wife went online looking for interior design solutions and, through a series of rabbit holes, ended up on Layth’s website. The next day, we gave him a call, and he agreed to visit our home for a consultation. During that very informative appointment, it became clear that for us to obtain the results we were looking for, we needed to hire an interior designer. Layth’s rates were reasonable, and his terms were clear. So we pulled the trigger and hired him. The best decision we could have made. During the presentation, Layth walked us through two furniture options for each space. We liked a bit of both options, which were reworked into the final look that we went with. A few weeks later, a delivery truck showed up on our driveway, and Layth was standing at our front door, requesting that we leave our place for a few hours. When we came back, it was like magic, as if we had walked into someone else's home. Remember that we didn’t order many pieces, but the ones we did altogether transformed our interiors. After living abroad for a while, I recently moved to Toronto. As many of you can attest to, apartment hunting here is such an exhausting and demoralizing process that by the time I found one, I had to have it furnished in no time. We found Layth through Bark.com. He was one of the first to respond and came to our house for a free consultation. Although we connected with other Interior Designers, we were immediately impressed with Layth’s vision. On top of this we liked his personality; kind, thoughtful and a good sense of humor, but serious when it came down to business. Layth created two plans for our living and dining areas, which he was open to customizing and to work with some of the pieces we already had. We loved his plan and Layth took us to check out couches, to make sure we got the exact one that we wanted.
