Hi there! My name is James Griffith, and I am a professional musician/educator with over 8 years of teaching and performing experience across Canada and the US, who is looking to expand my private teaching studio. All ages and levels of experience are welcome!
As a graduate of the renowned Humber College and a multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of study within Saxophone, Piano, Flute and Clarinet, I wish to pass on my passion for music to my students in a joyful and enjoyable way. As a teacher, I am committed to having my students reach their musical goals by guiding lessons based on their individual interests and needs.
Genres taught include: Jazz, Classical, Pop, RnB, Motown, Folk, Indie, Rock and more!

I am happy to teach online, in-person at my studio or at your home! Rates are flexible and vary based on amount of travel time/length of lessons.
James Griffith is a multi-award winning Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator. As the first Albertan to win the premier “Yamaha Makes Waves” award of the 2019 MusicFest Nationals Festival, Griffith has had the pleasure of working and performing with national and international jazz icons such as Dayna Stephens, Terri Lyne Carrington, Kirk MacDonald, Brian Dickinson and more. Aside from his personal projects, Griffith is also a highly in-demand side-person and can be found regularly performing at historic Toronto venues such as The Jazz Bistro, The Rex, The Pilot, The Emmet Ray and more.
