THE BUILT GROUP has helped us to restore entire house in 2020 (total 3000 sqft with new interior layers: electrical wiring, new plumbing) and all new exterior (wall, floors, doors, windows, fixtures, kitchens.
..etc).
This is an outstanding builder. They have done awesome work and the workmanship guaranteed for several years.
We have been working closely, daily with Craig Mcvety(construction Manager), Darrell Gillbert (Construction Estimator/Project manager), they are professional and very responsive, super dedicated to the project. They responded to our inquiries even on their vacations. They recommended many great options/supply vendors for us to pick and we have selected with the best choices that fit the project budget. There was a very minor thing to be fixed after project completion and they have been there and responsive to emails, msg ...to support us during the workmanship guarantee.
During the covid pandemic, supply chain has been shortage and hard to arrange teams to work concurrently in my house in order to comply the pandemic policy (not more than a team of few staffs inside house at a time and keep great distance with each others...etc) but THE BUILT GROUP has managed their resources to complete the entire house (bottom up) in few months.
Finally, My big appreciation to the great A1 team ( construction manager (Craig Mcvety), project manager(Darrell Gillbert), interior designer (Lorrie), master electrician (Brandon Blake Moore from Bear Electrical Contractors) and also including all contractor team resources: kitchen, plumbing...etc ).

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
An inspection of the structure, as well as a review of city By-laws would be the starting point on deciding whether a conversion is suitable.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
We would do an initial inspection of the property. Assuming the initial inspection went well, and we found no concerns with city By-laws we would then engage our design and engineering team to put forth drawings that could be used for permit. These will also be used as the basis to compile an accurate job scope that we can provide the client our estimate for the required services. Upon completion of our agreement, and receipt of permits we would begin with the project. The project will be carried out in a specific manner and all required inspections will take place at the necessary stages. The life cycle of a job may look like this. Mobilization, Demolition if necessary, Framing, mechanicals, insulation, finishing, final inspection and occupancy. Items such as windows, doors, exterior cladding at the same time as the earlier stages of the project.

Our services cannot be provided remotely due to the nature of our business. Although we do have meetings done through platforms like Zoom to help clients manage their busy schedules.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of our team members followed the Covid-19 guidelines during the pandemic. We were regularly monitored by the Ministry of Labour to ensure compliance and we are happy to say that we worked through the pandemic without any stoppages due to Covid-19
