What’s your interior design process?
All projects start with a Design Consultation in which we identify your needs for the space. We discuss style preferences, priorities, proposed changes to the space and overall budget. From there we gather measurements as well as estimates from any required tradespeople and then begin the creative process of creating your Design Plan. We outline all design elements, as well as provide drawings & renderings so you can visualize your finished space.
Should you choose to move forward with full service Design & Project management, I manage all aspects of the process from start to finish. If your project requires construction or the services of a General Contractor, I will coordinate with all necessary tradespeople to ensure their aspect of the project runs smoothly. I am also able to manage the procurement process including ordering, purchase tracking, receiving, inspection and storage of all furniture & decor items until they ready to be installed.
Once everything is finalized and ready, we schedule your install day for our team to deliver all furnishings and install all aspects of your design allowing you to enjoy a fully completed space.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I can cater to any design style that my client is partial to, however I love designing clean, modern spaces with a pop of the unexpected.
What inspired you to start your own business?
An avid renovator in my spare time, my passion for design was initially sparked when I began documenting the full scale tear down & renovation of my own home 8 years ago. That passion, which subsequently prompted me to make a career change, is what continues to fuel my love for what I do today.

I believe that when it comes to designing your home, it's important to have at least one space you can be completely in love with - even if it's just that one room, make it your sanctuary. As a designer it's my job to make that a reality no matter how big or small your budget.

I'm pleased to work with local clients in the the Durham and Toronto Regions including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, and Scarborough as well as remote clients via our virtual e-design services.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I'm happy to offer virtual design consultations for those clients who are uncomfortable meeting in person. Clients are able to send their photos and any required measurements of the space and then we meet via video chat to discuss their project needs.
For those clients looking for in-person services, I require that masks be work at all times during our meeting.
Virtual Design Consultations (1 hour)
The virtual design consultation is a way for us to connect even if we can’t meet in person. This is where we get to know you, and your unique needs for the space. We’ll discuss proposed changes, budget & I’ll provide advice for your current challenges. This service can be booked as a stand-alone to simply get ideas, or as the first step in your project. After our session you will receive a consultation sunmary including all notes & an estimated scope of work should you choose to move forward.
Full Service Design & Decorating
Take the stress and hassle out of redecorating or renovating with this all encompassing service from Studio 561. I take care of every last detail of your project from planning, design & drawings, to coordinating with necessary trades, to ordering furniture and placing accessories.
Standalone Design Plan
I will guide you through the process of determining your ideal style preferences and create a complete design that will work for you, your fuctional needs for the space and your budget. You’ll get suggestions for all aspects of your design from space planning, materials & paint colours to furnishings. We’ll provide detailed drawings and/or 3D renderings that you can confidently use to work with any necessary trades to implement on your own timeline.
