We recently had our kitchen and laundry room done by Cornerstone. We interviewed a few designers and a few shops like Cornerstone. As we narrowed it down Cornerstone kept meeting our needs. Arlie was always very very responsive. Very detailed and listened to our wants, needs and desires. She had a few ideas of her own but when we said no, she listened. It did seem others just had their own vision and we weren't qualified to have any. Cornerstone does custom and that means if your walls are a weird size they can change things by 1/8" or 8'. Nothing was set in stone or "you can't have that because..."

We had already done a ton of research and knew generally what we wanted. We needed somebody to take all our ideas and put them into something real. Gabriella and Arlie both did great work there. Cornerstone had lots of finishes to choose from, and we were able to add our custom pieces (crown, pulls) without any pushback or hassle.

During the actual reno both Arlie and Gabriella showed up a few times and their installers are masters of detail. I measured, everything is true even though our house is absolutely not true in places. Beautiful.

We had the inevitable challenges during a reno. Like drain pipes that weren't supposed to be there. They worked around and through the issues and the results met our needs and if you didn't know about them you'd never notice. We added a few things and even after when re loading our stuff back into the kitchen found a couple minor things we'd like to change. Right away they got them built and delivered. That's service.

This is the second kitchen that Arlie has designed for us. The first one, in a house, the second, in our current residence, a 2800 sq. ft. townhouse. For both projects, she handled everything with enthusiasm and attention to detail, and I found her to be an experienced, professional kitchen designer.
These qualities come shining through, as she deals with subs and clients alike.
Arlie is a pleasure to work with, and Nikki, the office manager is knowledgeable, and helpful.

Cornerstone provides a professional, timely, affordable and local option for building your custom kitchen. Our experience was exceptional. I am a General Contractor and have worked with Cornerstone for 8 years on approx. 20 projects. They provide excellent service from the initial consultations through installation. There planning and measuring is accurate as is the fit and finish. Communication back and forth during the project is ongoing and avoids any "surprizes" down the road . Our recent kitchen renovation exceeded our expectations. Our designer Arlie guided us step by step through the many decisions involved. She designed a very innovative solution to our rather small kitchen, giving us loads of cupboard space and a feeling that our kitchen was twice as big. We chose custom Maple cabinetry which is beautiful and has the look and feel of fine furniture. All work was done efficiently and Arlie kept a close eye on the job even though we had a friend doing the contracting work. It is my pleasure to convey my experience with Cornerstone Kitchen and Design Ltd when my husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen/family room in July 2015. While excited over the prospect of transforming the space, I was suddenly struck with the thoughts "Who do I get" and "What is the process?"
When I was directed to Arlie at Cornerstone Kitchens, everything changed and I became an enthusiastic and informed client. Arlie and her team integrated me into the process and I felt that I was not only the client, but an active member as well. Discussions, decisions and actions ensued and the results are magazine worthy!
Just ask me how I feel in this aesthetically pleasing space. My answer.....INSPIRED but perhaps a little too obsessive compulsive when it comes to keeping it spotless and visually optimal!!

Cornerstone designed our new kitchen; transforming it from a dingy 1988 enclosed space into an open, bright modern kitchen. Arlie and her team were very knowledgeable about the latest in kitchen design options, their showroom had a varied selection of options for my wife and I to consider and their mock ups of the design were extremely helpful in conceptualizing our final design.

By hiring a kitchen design firm, they optimized the storage and layout space in our kitchen which will pay dividends for years to come. In May of this year we met with three Kitchen designers and chose Arlie from Cornerstone Kitchen to be our Kitchen designer. She listened to what we wanted and offered very good suggestions that would match our budget.

We would say that her greatest strength was the way she built a relationship and communicated with us. We felt we could ask her anything and we often did, even with issues re the Contractors services. She was always very quick to respond to our concerns, fix the problem, and move right on to the next step. Arlie left detailed information on site for the various Trades and what was required by each of them.

Arlie also took us out one day to choose our Granite Countertop. With her various contacts and expertise we were able to choose a slab of granite which is absolutely stunning!

If we were struggling over choosing wall colours, tiles, flooring, lighting ...we would both look at each other and say...”Go call Arlie!”

Arlie has that unique quality of being able to bring her skills and knowledge as a designer while being respectful of her client’s wishes. She brought 110% of herself to our project. The project was finished on time and on budget!

We are very happy with the quality of the cabinets and the skilled work of Scott installing them. We would definitely recommend Cornerstone Kitchen Design and are very thankful to Arlie and her team...Scott, Sylvie, Bianca.

a very knowledgeable ,professional outfit .Arlie had some great design ideas and really improved our kitchen. The cabinets are good quality and very functional . Gord did an awesome job with the construction ,plumbing , dry walling ,backsplash to name a few of his skills , and is easy to have around the house. Working with Arlie and her team was a pleasure. Throughout the process, Arlie was very knowledgeable - she clearly has years of experience designing kitchens- but she was also very open to our ideas and made sure they were incorporated into the design. We made numerous small changes along the way, and Arlie never failed to keep track of all of the details. The finish on both our painted and wood veneer cabinets is excellent. Cornerstone kept to their budget estimate, but I did not give them five stars because they were not able to deliver within the original timeframe. We hired Arlie from Cornerstone Kitchens and Kevin from Twin Lions Contracting to plan and renovate our kitchen and we love the result.
After months of indecision trying to plan it ourselves ( and many hours spent searching Houzz photos for inspiration!) we called Arlie. She came to our house for a free consultation, measured the space, and created a plan that made sense. It was thoughtfully crafted with awesome interior fittings and integration of appliances. Arlie respected the decisions on finishings that we had already made and offered great advice on any aspect that we were unsure of. We went together to choose the granite slabs and she supervised the installation. Twin Lions Contracting delivered a quality job in a short time frame ensuring the kitchen was ready for cabinet installation day. Scott the installer did a great job and Nikki from Cornerstone was always there to help and made a great suggestion for the handles.

Arlie and her team at Cornerstone Kitchens and Gord at First Advantage Renovations did an excellent job for us. Cornerstone started with some creative design, demonstrating that they were listening to our needs, and then demonstrated their flexibility as we zeroed in on what we wanted in our dream kitchen. The timing was aggressive and despite the inevitable little surprises, they met the project schedule on time and on budget, finishing in roughly 60 days from start to end. The scope involved demolition, drywall, paint, plumbing, lighting and electrical, cabinets, granite countertops, appliance installation, and backsplash tile. We leveraged Arlie's knowledge and experience for appliances, and we arranged flooring and mouldings ourselves. Special mention goes to Cornerstone's cabinet installer Scott, who did a great job for us. One of the best attributes of Cornerstone is that they used their experience to educate us on what to expect, answering our many questions, and this went a long way towards setting realistic expectations, eliminating surprises, and making us feel very comfortable with the whole process. Cornerstone was contracted to design, build and install our new kitchen, bathroom and laundry cabinets and granite countertops to replace our 1980's faded oak look. The whole experience was great from the accuracy of the quotation to helping us choose colour, style and hardware for the cabinets to custom measuring so it all fit right the first time.
The cabinets are maple on 3" shaker style in cappuccino colour with Blumotion hardware for soft close doors and drawers. The granite is Kashmir White and was also measured for an exact fit.

I would highly recommend Cornerstone Kitchens. They have great vision when planning a kitchen. They think of every detail from where specific drawers and appliances should be located to the shape of the countertop to compliment the shape of the room. The desire to create the most beautiful kitchen was very evident. I loved how I could just give them the project to take over particularly at such a busy time having just moved into the home, which was being renovated. They were very efficient and quick to respond to any questions or suggestions that I had. When I couldn't decide on door handles, Arlie even invited me to her home so that I could see what the handles looked like on her cupboards. I was so glad I didn't go with any other company, as the quality, personal attention, and attention to detail would not have come close to what I experienced with Cornerstone. More...
