Classic Kitchens are an experienced, knowledgeable group of professionals who from our first meeting treated us like family!

I was very impressed with the level of detail in the quotes and the detail and quality of the workmanship!

Our designers were great at helping us realize our vision for the spaces and offered guidance and advice on things we never would have thought of. Any questions we had along the way were addressed quickly.

We were most impressed when we were periodically told that some items were replaced that we didn't even know or see had slight flaws or bumps. They really went over and above and for that I am grateful!

We looked at different kitchen companies before choosing Classic, and we chose them because their design was great, but more importantly, they are by far the nicest, most helpful people that really listened to what we were looking for and gave us exactly what we were hoping for! The renovation went really well and before we knew it, we had an amazing and beautiful new kitchen where the old one was. The new features we have I really love, like more drawers, omg we have lots of drawers now and the way our new kitchen is laid out, I absolutely love spending time in the kitchen now. I can't say enough about the great job the team at Classic did (Angela, Jeff, Debbie, Mark and the whole crew), except to say that we are so glad we chose Classic and we thank our lucky stars every time we walk into our new kitchen. We chose Classic Kitchens to do our kitchen renovation and we are thrilled with the result! From the awesome design to the helpfulness of the designers when we chose materials, to the actual work in our home, it was first class all the way. After receiving four quotes from various companies, we hired Classic Kitchens primarily for the quality of their cabinets but this was followed up with quality customer service. Angela and Debbie helped us with layout and component selection. All staff responded promptly to our questions and concerns. The Buildertrend app was particularly helpful for the communication. We are loving our kitchen! From the moment we looked at the online photos of kitchens that Classic Kitchens created, we started to imagine what we wanted to see in our own kitchen. The pictures and reviews on HOUZZ sounded great so we decided to go to Classic Kitchens to take a look around.

We immediately connected with Debbie who greeted us when we went in and answered all of our questions. We booked an appointment for Chris to come to our house and design a layout for us. Chris listened to all of our requests and designed a layout that would work perfectly for our family. We also decided to widen two load bearing walls, put matching floors in the front foyer and powder room, as well as the installation of new cabinets and fixtures in the powder room. We absolutely loved his design and knew that these were the people that we wanted to hire for the job.

Our project was huge and we knew it would take a while but the entire staff was very accommodating and always let us know when someone was arriving to work on our kitchen. Their new Builder Trend app is great! We could go on it to check when each job would begin and end, as well as a reminder of our selection choices, a blueprint of our layout and many other options. Mark and Jonathan were at our house regularly, and were great to work with! All of the staff were professional, respectful of our space and really helped to make this an enjoyable experience for us. The end result is absolutely stunning! Our kitchen looks like one out of a magazine! The quality of the cabinets is evident as soon as you look at them and Andrew did an amazing job with the installation of all the cabinets, the glass panels, the crown moulding and all of the trim!

We would highly recommend Classic Kitchens and can’t wait to have them back again to begin our next project!

The moment Angela stepped into our kitchen, we knew she was the one for the job. She listened to our wish list and family needs and came up with the perfect design that complemented our house and satisfied our busy lifestyle.
Choosing your dream kitchen can be very stressful but everyone at Classic (Angela, Debbie, Chris and Jeff) were there every step of the way! No matter how many phone calls or store visits, we were always welcomed in a positive and helpful manner.
This awesome customer service also extended to the numerous contractors who visited us daily to help us reach our goal. They treated our house as if it was their own, which made this reno stress free.
The builder trend online schedule was excellent in keeping everything on track. We were always informed on a daily basis of what was happening in our home.
We were very pleased to remain within our budget, and that there were no "surprises," as many of our friends experienced with their kitchen renos.

Ruth and I have discussed a new kitchen layout over the past years . We won the lottery when we were introduced to Chris Johnson from Classic Kitchens Designs and Renovations .
Chris designed and executed a new open concept layout that included the removal of two existing load bearing walls . His vision far exceeded several other contractors in the area .
The project was managed and executed professionally by his staff , Angela , Debbie , John and Mark plus the outside trades . Everyone was wonderful and most of all very pleasant to interact with .
The team assisted with Selection of materials , colours , lighting , flooring etc and resolved all Reno issues.
We are very proud of our new improved layout , it is perfect . When we look at the before and after photos , We know we made the right choice .

When it was time to say goodbye to our ugly, dated, dysfunctional 80's kitchen, friends of ours recommended Classic Kitchens. I spent some time here on Houzz admiring pictures of their previous projects, and gleaning ideas for my own kitchen. I was so impressed with what I saw, that we didn't even consider another firm.

From start to finish, it was clear that Chris, Angela and Debbie were experienced professionals. Chris designed a beautiful, functional plan that made much better use of the large, yet awkwardly-shaped space. Angela and Debbie provided invaluable advice on all of our choices (we were keeping existing floor tiles, so everything flowed from there). Debbie picked up a colour in our floor tiles that I had never even noticed, and that became the wall colour - it works beautifully. Angela visited our house (on a Sunday morning no less!), to provide input re: cabinet colour and countertop. Ultimately, we created a beautiful, calming colour pallet.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the tradespeople who work for Classic Kitchens. Without exception, their tradespeople were talented, professional and respectful, and the quality of their workmanship really shows.

There were a couple of glitches along the way - I think that's to be expected in any large renovation project - but what sets Classic Kitchens apart is their fast and professional response to every single problem that arose. Throughout this process, we were confident that at the end of the day we would be delighted with our new kitchen, and that confidence was well placed. Chris did an outstanding job designing the kitchen and bathrooms for our new home. He managed to get everything we wanted into restricted spaces. His staff were always friendly and professional. The installations were done on time and the few issues were addressed quickly and completely. We could not have had a better experience.

My experience with Classic Kitchens was an absolute pleasure. Renovating our kitchen and powder room was a huge project for us, classic made this go as smoothly as possible. Both Debbie and Angela were there for us every step of the way with our material selection while Chris Johnson the owner was meticulous with his design and ensuring our satisfaction. Before retirement my husband Greg did the renovations on our properties. We eagerly watched our project unfold, critiquing the workers and asking questions, which they were more than happy to answer & explain. It was clear to us their employees do not cut corners. We are very excited about our completed kitchen. Right from the start the team at Classic lead us to a design that functioned perfectly even though the space was challenging. They worked with us to update the space but still fit into the homes style. They helped us incorporate the personal touches that were important to us without compromising the function and guided us through material selections . We chose Classic Kitchens and Renovations to update our kitchen and we couldn't be happier with the process or the result. Angela worked with us to choose cupboards, backsplash and countertops that would complement each other and the rest of the house and also fit our budget. The kitchen is beautiful. Classic Kitchens renovated our kitchen last fall and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. It was a big job, taking out a wall and combining our living and dining rooms to make a very large family/entertaining size kitchen. Chris, Angela and Debbie were wonderful to work with and no detail or request was too small or trivial for them to accommodate.
The trades people working for them were just as wonderful. They would arrive when promised, kept the work area as tidy as it can be kept during a renovation and were pleasant to have around, which is important when you're going to have people in your home all day for weeks.

materials was facilitated by Angela and Debbie who were right on. The renovation is very beautiful and functional. I love our new space. They delivered on exactly the look and feel I desired. When we purchased our brand new home straight from the builder, the first thing my wife said was were going to "gut" the kitchen when we take possession.

Wait a second…. we just purchased a brand new house with a brand new kitchen, and were going to "gut" the kitchen Well let me tell you, any smart married man will tell you, choose you battles wisely, and this was one battle I knew I was going to lose.

So the journey began starting to find what company would be best for this job. The search nearly lasted 2 months. We visited home shows, Googled companies in the Durham region, and then came to Houzz. Several "pro" recommendations popped up and we interviewed many. My wife had a clear vision in how she wanted our kitchen to look and many kitchen designers could not step to the plate. Either their designs were "off", or plainly put, it did not just feel right. We started to re –think about doing this, until we came upon "Classic Kitchens" located in Whitby.

From the first consultation visit, we instantly connected with Chris. After many meetings, drawings, designs, etc, we decided to use Classic Kitchens.

The day we took possession, the Classic Kitchen team came and took down the existing kitchen. Then the magic began. Day by day our kitchen space began to transform into the vision my wife had. The Classic Kitchen installers were always on time, extremely professional, paid meticulous attention to detail, always maintained a clean working environment and were very patient to the questions we threw out during the install.

All I can say is that I am blown away by the level of service and the incredible craftsmanship we received. The "Classic Kitchen" team (Chris, Angela, Debbie, Andrew) were absolutely incredible to work with. The kitchen has become our new favorite place to hang out now. I can confidently say that anyone who uses "Classic Kitchens" will be beyond happy. And this is coming for a guy who really didn't want this to begin with.

We love our new kitchen. It is so much more functional (two people can now work in it at the same time) and the valuable extra storage space is a real bonus. The design Chris did makes our kitchen appear to be so much larger and brighter. With Angela’s expertise, the granite counter top, back splash, kitchen floor tiles and new hardwood flooring on the main floor is well coordinated and the flow fits our lifestyle perfectly.

The team of contractors were the best, always on time, knowledgeable, professional and treated our home with respect. There was absolutely no stress and it was a pleasure to have them around. There was a very minor problem with one of the drawer fronts and when we pointed it out, Chris simply said “no problem, we will replace it”- no questions asked - how often does that happen!

The “one stop shopping” experience that Classic Kitchens offers is the only way to go. Our only “road trip” was to the granite factory with Angela and that was a real treat.

It was our pleasure working with the entire team of professionals at Classic Kitchens. And, the best part of it all? – The job was done on time and within budget!

Once again Thank You – we will have to find another project so we can have you all back again.

Excellent design that truly suited and complemented our home' s style.
Worked with Chris to refine the design numerous times until we had the details incorporated and before any deposit was requested. We wanted a Wow kitchen and his team delivered it on time and on budget...and Wow we love. It's functional and beautiful.
He has a team of superior quality craftsmen that took great measures to protect the surrounding areas... And they are all a pleasure to work with.

Creative, Professional, Courteous and Meticulous. My husband and I investigated several companies for over 2 years and had several professional designs proposed for our small u-shaped kitchen. Never really feeling completely satisfied we never committed to anyone until Chris and Angela presented Classic Kitchen's design. We left their showroom excited and with contract in hand. We are just thrilled with our new kitchen and are very grateful to the professionals at Classic Kitchen and Renovations who took a kitchen from the 80's and created a modern masterpiece. After visiting our home, Chris drew up several designs which we went over with him and then modified to get the best design that would fit our lifestyle. It required moving a wall, then completely renovating the newly expanded kitchen. We appreciate that he was open to our suggestions. We love the new island which Chris designed. He actually came to our home and worked with the fabricator until the design was perfect for our kitchen. Angela helped us choose various materials and even met us at the granite stores in Concord to help us select just the right stone for our countertops. We learned to trust the designers' suggestions. We had an idea of what we wanted but Chris and Angela took us beyond anything that we could have imagined. Sandra put together the perfect colour combinations for our walls which is very important in an open concept home like ours. We also cannot say enough about the contractors that Classic Kitchens had working in our home over the course of the renovation. Our project was a complete kitchen redesign and remodel and we could not be happier with the result! From the beginning Chris was attentive to our list of "wants" and "don't wants" and these were reflected in his design. The design was very much a consultative process, which helped us feel that we were getting the kitchen we wanted and not just some "cookie-cutter" product. The fact that no money was asked for until the design was complete and a contract had been signed was tremendously important to us.

The workmanship provided on every aspect of the project was of the highest quality with tremendous attention paid to detail. Minor issues along the way were dealt with promptly and professionally.

I recently hired Classic Kitchens to do a complete kitchen renovation which included the removal of walls, new tile flooring, hardwood flooring, complete reconfiguration of the kitchen footprint, new appliances, all cupboards,backsplash and granite counter tops.
The final result is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen functions so much better and meets all of our needs.
The people who did the work were pleasant to work with, were very friendly and accomodating.
There were a few small glitches but overall the job was completed well and within the time frame expected.

Classic gave us an amazing kitchen! Chris came to the house,listened to the features I wanted and incorporated them all in the design. Another reason we picked Classic was that they gave us a complete kitchen price,no surprises or hidden costs.There is great communication between their team of tradesmen and the quality of materials, workmanship and attention to detail are second to none. Classic Kitchens completed a 7-week kitchen renovation for us at the end of March, 2013. We have a fairly small kitchen and we didn't remove any walls or make major structural changes but Chris was able to suggest some layout changes we had not thought of that gave us more counter space and made the kitchen much more functional with a lot more storage. We worked with Angela to choose our flooring, countertop, blacksplash and paint colour. We found them both to be easy to work with and very professional.
The trades people who came to work on our job were very respectful of our home, friendly, courteous and very anxious to do a job we were pleased with.
We did go over our original time-frame by a week or so, and we did select an upgraded granite countertop and under cabinet lighting which were not included in our original estimate but we knew in advance they would be additional charges. We had a few minor hiccups along the way which were quickly remedied and all in all we felt the job went smoothly.

Classic Kitchens is your only choice for Kitchen design and renovations. Chris, Angela and Sandra provide A1 customer service, knowledge and experience. They have creative and current design ideas and a wide range of products to support their designs. They had patience and provided input and options for the many choices we had to make, including design changes to ensure we had exactly what we wanted.
Their associates are experts in their field and are tireless. They put in long hours including weekends to limit our inconvenience . Everyone that came into our home was respectful and friendly. Their workmanship is outstanding. Classic Kitchens provided a comfort level and did whatever they could to remove all stress associated with such a large renovation. By choice, my husband pulled out our old kitchen and then Classic Kitchens took over from there. They made all the arrangements and set the time line for the selection process. We were able to choose the counter, hardware and glass inserts etc as the project progressed.
We shopped around before we walked into Classic Kitchens and after our consultation and estimate we knew the decision was made.

Classic Kitchens provided us with an awesome kitchen design, a plan for the project and executed the project professionally. Their subcontractors did a great job, showed up on time and were considerate of our needs; specifically, we have pets. We couldn't be happier with the end result and are looking forward to working with them again when we start the next job!!
