My wife and I recently completed all kitchen renovation and needed countertops along with backsplash. We found Joe by searching on google in Ajax area. Honestly we were lost and did not know what exactly what we wanted to do. But from the moment we contacted Joe, we knew right away he would do an outstanding job. His kind nature and attention to detail made him such a pleasure to work with. But he also went out of his way to accommodate our indecision with multiple trips to our home with samples and advice. He was responsive to phone calls and questions, and installation was scheduled in reasonable timeframe. He always completed the work on time and honored the initial quote provided. So pleased we took a neighbours advice and visited Joe’s showroom. As our neighbour told us, there were many types and colours of countertop material available. Joe answered all our questions with confidence and helped in our choice of granite or quartz. We opted for quartz and after 2 measures at our home (a preliminary by Joe and a more in-depth one by the contractor) the quartz was installed within a week. I love it and would have no hesitation recommending the company. The contractors were polite, courteous and thorough. We are going back on Saturday to choose the backsplash and after completion will be returning for floor tiles. I felt particularly confident because of Joe’s knowledge and familiarity with the materials he sells which is sadly lacking in the big box stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s.Thank you and we look forward to doing business with you again. Countertop showed up by surprise, no call to even mention ahead of time.!! I was told to remove the sink ahead on time, which I had to do on the spot as the installers waited. . Shut off water, disconnect drains, my Reverse osmosis filter, both faucets, water all over the place and trying to do this in 10 minutes!.. The new countertop had a dent in it that they had to fill, and installers dented the countertop support in my cabinet while I ran to the bank to get the money, due to having no knowledge of them coming. JK Says "phone is expensive" when I told him he didn't even call me.. I had somewhere to be I ended up being late. The countertop was supposed to be 36.5" the same as the previous one, instead it was 36 leaving a gap in the paint on the wall. The measuring guy came and said it's impossible to do this countertop without a seam, so I had to waste my time sending JK photos of my neighbors countertop to convince him it's possible.. When the installers came they told me they do that all the time without a seam. In the rush of removing things for them, I didn't remove my faucet gasket, and the installers asked me if I wanted it, but didn't bother to remove it and give it to me, even though I said yes. It was stuck to the old countertop, so now it's gone. I was also told this is a "commercial quality" sink but it's not! Also, my utensil drawer holding screw broke after a couple of days because it was touching the countertop edge when it came out. The positives of this transaction were that the countertop does look very nice, and I got a free cutting board which is also very nice to have, but it should have been a much easier process. More...
