Toowoomba
Interior Designer and Decorator creating homes that are comfortable, memorable & inspiring. Over 15 years in the interior design industry with a strong focus on residential design. Design Leopard offers a range of services from Blueprint decorating service for those that like to be more hands on to luxury full service interior design and decorating.
I have been solely working on interiors for 4 years now after over a decade of running my own homewares and furniture store. I have a diploma of Interior Design from Mercer School of Interior Design (now Collarts), a leading design school in Melbourne, as well a degree in business/commerce (from a previous life!). I work face-to-face and remotely providing everything from simple advice on kitchen colours and finishes to full-scale custom decorating with soft furnishings, custom furniture and window treatments. I quote per job so you know exactly what your costs are before we begin the project.
We start by using a shared Pinterest board, or using existing client inspiration images to build a mood board to reflect the style of your space. This is then tweaked until its perfect. We then move onto a materials board with suggested colours, furniture, fixtures & fittings and soft furnishings, and layouts if necessary. Once this is approved a shopping list is compiled for all of the items that you require, or your custom pieces are organised for you and shipped directly.

Working with different design styles and bringing them to life is an absolute joy. I love working with people to help them bring out their own style rather than a cookie-cutter approach.
After 12 years in the homewares industry I was feeling tired and a bit underwhelmed by the mass-produced furnishings and decor that was available in Australia. The more bespoke aspect of interior design with custom fabrics, designs and individual solutions is much more satisfying.
I am not a big, expensive, 'take over the whole design process' kind of interior designer, and I don't charge an arm and a leg. I like to guide my clients through the process, and sometimes its just a matter of helping you to collate your ideas and make final decisions. I am rurally based, so there are often practical elements of design that need to happen out here, and this is reflected in my 'pretty-but-practical' approach to some of my design work.
I lot of my work is done remotely, and where possible I will send you any physical samples for you to approve throughout the design process.
