Her nutrition, science knowledge and cooking ideas make her an expert in the implementation of the Mediterranean diet as a non-dieting approach for weight loss, reduced inflammation for endometriosis, adenomyosis, interstitial cystitis, high cholesterol and heart disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), diabetes, anxiety and depression, inflammatory disorders, the prevention of cancer, dementia, and improving longevity of life.

Telehealth appointments are welcome with Medicare rebates provided on some appointments. A valid Medicare card and referral from your general practitioner is required.

Services

The Vera team of gynaecologists see women with all gynaecological conditions, including abnormal pap smears and colposcopy, pelvic pain and endometriosis, vulval and vaginal discharge and pain, pain with sex, ovulatory dysfunction (PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea), peri-menopause and menopause, hormonal mood disorders such as PMS and PMDD, period problems, contraceptive counselling, and IUDs. They are all experienced laparoscopic surgeons and offer excisional endometriosis surgery, endometrial ablation, hysterectomy and ovarian surgery when required.

They also see women and couples seeking help with fertility and offer fertility assessment and advanced reproductive therapies such as IUI and IVF, in collaboration with Queensland Fertility Group.

The Vera gynaecologists work together, with the other women’s health practitioners, and most importantly with each woman as an individual, to deliver a tailored treatment plan as unique as each woman and with the woman at the centre.

Treatment is wholistic and always includes awareness of the impact of lifestyle, diet and each woman’s life story.
