What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching, seeing enthusiasm grow, creating a fun atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable experience for every student.
I also love creating music and performing for people to help them either celebrate a beautiful wedding experience, or to farewell a loved one in the most memorable and appropriate way for that particular family. I have over 35 years of experience in this area and I am happy to help choose the music or advise on ideas and generally put it all together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Definitely my love and passion for music.
After commencing teaching a few students, word of mouth provided me with more.
Also, my voluntary playing and singing at my church provided many opportunities to provide music for weddings and funerals due to people hearing my music and hiring me.
I decided that this was a good reason to start a music business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am super enthusiastic as a teacher. Children thoroughly enjoy their lessons.
I create a fun atmosphere which further enhances learning in children and adults.
My students who want to do exams have achieved very high standards in their results.
I have my own music studio, or I can come to your home if you have a piano/keyboard.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I am able to provide lessons remotely online if necessary. And I did do this last year during the lockdown periods.
Good learning is definitely possible this way, however, optimum learning happens in a face-to-face situation as it is so much easier to instruct the student and to show them when you are both in the same room.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I provide a safe, hygenic learning environment. I wipe over my piano and teaching area after each student. I provide hand sanitiser and I sit at a safe distance from the student where I can still observe their playing and instruct them.
