Not the fine dining experience we remember from many years ago. Overpriced food that does not even come close to what it used to be back in the day. Once I was handed a menu, I was disappointed. The single A4 laminated sheet had seen better days and was coming apart at the curled edges. I could see the filthy skirting board and floor across from our table. I seldom leave negative reviews, however I feel compelled to let the owners of this business now just how terrible their staff are. After waiting for 40 mins for food….I found out that the staff had taken the order and not given it to the kitchen. There was no apology, just a grunt! The staff were belligerent, rude and downright apathetic about their terrible service. 1 out of 10, the 1 is for the view. More...

Tried this place again after being disappointed, we were served straight away. Food was nice but small quantity, no veggies unless purchased separately. Was not ever offered another drink, only asked if we wanted dessert and coffee when meal was finished. Got charged for water when we just wanted ordinary water !!!! Won’t be back sorry More...

Terrible customer service, not one hello, thank you or smile off any staff member, food just dumped on table. One order incorrect, banana bread cold on inside. Tables not cleared, one waiter was too busy chatting to another staff member to service paying customers or do their job. Do not recommend and will not be back. Love the view and relaxed feel in the restaurant. The sand crab lasagne is Delicious - it’s like gluttony. 🤤 The children’s meals are great too - my son had the calamari meal and devoured the whole plate. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Also, an added bonus is the amazing park and nature you see all around. I always enjoy a walk around the water to walk off the lasagne and my son loves to explore, both the park and the gorgeous surroundings. Oh! And don’t forget the ice cream parlour. Beautiful setting but service and hygiene lets them down. Sitting at an outdoor table, my son counted lots of dead cockroaches lying on the deck - surely someone would sweep them up? Service was lack lustre (bar one polite waiter) with food slammed down on the table and sauce arrived in a little pot with the remnants of someone else’s food in it 🤢 On requesting fresh sauce, the same pot was brought back (it had a distinctive crack in it) with the soggy remnant of food removed meaning we still had someone else’s second hand sauce. Lovely restaurant and the food was wonderful. However this is an upmarket restaurant with an upmarket price to match. But the waiter/waitresses need more training in service. Husband and I came for a takeaway lunch today to sit in the sunshine. Worst food I have had in a while. Not sure if it has been taken over by new owners but not the same from previous times. The chicken burger my husband got looked like it had been sitting on a counter bench under a book for a week and under cooked (still pink inside) and the salt n pepper calamari was so salty it couldn’t be eaten. We were there on Sunday for the takeaway fish 'n chips, they were the usual high standard. What really impressed us however was the staff's care provided to an elderly member of our party. We just had lunch at the cafe. We ordered steak sandwiches, steak was only just warm, it was like these were pre-made and just toasted when ordered. Iced coffees were not cold, no ice in them at all, the worst iced coffees we have ever had and finally ordered two take away coffees and they were only just luke warm.
