SPC Performance Lab is a 24-7 non-commercial strength training facility located in Taren Point. We help people who use strength training to get stronger and improve their physique, but have hit a plateau or not seeing the progress they want, and looking for professional help from a university qualified professional.

Creating flexibility so programs and nutrition work around the individual's lifestyle and wants rather than creating rigid unsustainable program's which people can't realistically keep up with

Not thinking that fitness is an on and off switch whereby you're either going 100% or nothing. Consistency is one of the biggest issues people face when trying to achieve their fitness goals. People can generally do everything perfect for a finite amount of weeks before something comes up and de-rails them. After this happens, people can view them self as a failure and give up because they were not able to stick to their regime - An 'all or nothing' mindset.

Realistically, it's fine if you miss a few sessions, it's fine if you slip on your diet, you'll still make progress, just the progress may be a little slower that week relative to weeks where you hit everything 100%. Accept there'll be slip ups or missed sessions and just keep chugging along. Eventually you'll start seeing the progress you're working for. Be patient and consistent.

Helping people become better versions of themselves. Being able to apply the theoretical knowledge I've learned through my studies into real-life and seeing how this makes people stronger, looking better and carries over to improving other aspects of their life.

Working crappy jobs which I hated for years where I knew I had the brain to do something better. I felt like I was wasting my life doing unskilled work. Trying to pay bills by working makes up such a large percent of our life, and I didn't want to waste my life making money for some other person and learning about products I didn't care about. After lots of stress, hard work, risk taking and a bit of good luck, I was able to turn my hobby into a business, and now I don't feel like I'm working.

I care about people's progress. If I'm paying a professional to do a job for me, I want the job done right. So I run my business like how I would want to be treated if I was a customer buying a service.

If you put in some effort and follow what I give you the majority of the time, you're going to see progress.

Yes, I offer both face to face and online coaching. I will write you a thesis here trying to explain everything, it's best if we book a free consult which can be done either in person or online.

What’s included?

A free initial consultation that lasts 45-60 minutes, where we will discuss your goals, preferences, and any concerns you might have. This information will help us create a personalised training program and nutrition plan that fits your specific needs.

60-minute one-on-one training sessions with a qualified exercise scientist and strength and conditioning coach, where you will learn how to perform exercises with proper technique. These sessions are focused on teaching efficient technique on the squat, bench press, deadlift, and overhead press, but can be tailored to your individual needs. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and skills so you can train safely and efficiently on your own.

Individualised training program which is continually monitored and adjusted according to your goals and needs

Weekly diet and calorie monitoring, with regular adjustments to help you achieve your goals, whether it’s losing body fat, building muscle, or improving your overall health and performance.

Preparation for powerlifting competitions, if that’s something you’re interested in pursuing. We’ll help develop training plans and optimise your lifting technique so you can be best prepared for your competitions.

Unlimited Q&A support via private message or email. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach out to your coach for advice and guidance.

For on-going clients, we offer a 24/7 gym membership for an additional $10 per week, allowing you to train outside of your coaching sessions (though a gym membership is not required for coaching only).

What’s included?

A personalized training program that is monitored and adjusted weekly based on your progress. You’ll receive an Excel spreadsheet to log your training sessions, which will be reviewed and updated by your coach each week.

Weekly diet and calorie monitoring and advice, tailored to your goals (e.g. reducing body fat, building muscle, optimizing performance and overall health). Your coach will review your diet logs and tracking sheet weekly and adjust calories as needed.

In-depth weekly analysis of your exercise technique via video recordings. You’ll record and send videos to your coach, who will provide feedback and specific cues to improve your form via a video reply.

A weekly recorded video check-in from your coach. Your coach will review your training + nutrition logs + exercise videos and will send a weekly video reply analysing and providing feedback to your exercise technique, discussing any program / nutrition changes, the rationale behind changes and to answer any questions you may have.

Power-lifting competition preparation for those looking to compete

Power-lifting competition day coaching (coach will come in person) if within reasonable travelling distance
