What do you love most about your job?
We love music, and using it to make people happy and add sparkle and great vibes to all kinds of events. We love the challenge of learning a song to be note-perfect and watching the audience react as they hear their favourite tunes played really, really well!
What inspired you to start your own business?
A love of music! Smooth Ops was started back in 2010 with a soul/funk focus, but expanded to cover many different genres of music. The band has several core members but has seen a varied lineup over time with some really fantastic talent.

Themed Floor Shows
Something extra-special and unique for any event that requires a bit of extra 'wow' factor. Featuring themed music, costumed dancers and guest musicians, and a big element of drama. Ask us today about creating a bespoke themed segment for your event.
Ceremony trio
Guitar, keys and vocals to create magic at your wedding ceremony. We're happy to learn a special song or two for your walk down the aisle! Includes a small battery-powered PA to project sound in outdoor locations without power.
Dinner/Background Music
Laidback, mellow tunes featuring stunning vocals and harmonies, to add ambience to your event during dinner or cocktail hour.
Speeches Audio
As an add-on to our full band service we can look after your speeches audio for you, with supplied wireless microphones and additional speakers if required to make sure everyone in the audience can hear.
